"Now You Are Gone"
Joel's P.O.V
I honestly thought the world was ending right there. I know I am being way too over dramatic but it just hurts so much. Seeing her with Erick, so close and just smiling like that hurts. I want to to be able to do that with her. Take her on dates, make her smile and laugh, and simply treat her like a princess.
"Joel, bro are you okay?" Erick suddenly asked me. "Um yeah but come on Gabo or we are going to miss the movie," I quickly said without looking at Annabeth. I just could not look at her at the moment it seriously breaks my heart seeing her so happy with him. "Okay come on the lets go!!! Bye Erick!! Bye Pretty girl!!" And with that Gabo pretty much dragged me inside the movie theater.
Soon we were both sitting inside the theater room and we were just waiting for the movie to start. "Um Joel, are you okay?" Gabo suddenly asked me. "Y-Yeah I guess I am, why do you ask?" I said trying to sound as normal as I could. "It is just that ever since you saw Erick with that pretty girl you became sad, like your smile disappeared and your eyes stopped shinning," he said in a sad voice.
Oh I guess I did not know I could be read so easily. I guess I pretty much do wear my heart on my sleeve. I really was not okay and I can not lie to Gabo, I honestly could trust him with this... "Actually Gabo, I am not okay to be honest," I said finally. "What's wrong ? Maybe I can help you like you help me," he said in a kindly voice. I honestly love this kid so much.
"Well you see that pretty girl is the girl I fancy," I said in a quiet voice. "She is very pretty I can see why you like her but why don't you do something about it, like tell her or ask her out," he said sounding a bit confused. "Well that is just the thing I can not do that, she is Yoandri's sister," I said trying to explain to him why it was so wrong for me to even like her.
"And? There is nothing wrong with that, when you like someone you like them and that's it, there is nothing wrong, well that's what I think anyways," he said as he furrowed his eyebrows. Wow this kid was my brother after all. Lol. And he was also right if I like Annabeth I shall do something about it. A Pimentel never gives up no matter what, we always keep fighting.
"You are right Gabo, now promise me something? One you won't tell anyone and two, do not grow up so fast," I said as the theater lights turned off. indicating the movie was about to start. "I promise," was all I heard before the movie started playing. I am honestly glad I came to the movies and that I decided to leave my bed now.
*travel back to Annabeth and Erick ;)*
Annabeth's P.O.V
Ever since I saw Joel I could not stop feeling guilty. Me and Erick are not dating but it felt wrong being with him. Do no take me wrong Erick is a really amazing guy but he deserves better than me. And plus if he did like me, I still did not return the same feelings towards him. I liked Joel and apparently my what so call crush towards him was not going to go away anytime soon.
But my thoughts were suddenly interrupted by Erick speaking. "Hey, are you okay Annabeth? You seem a bit off? Do you need anything?" He asked worriedly. "Um yeah I'm okay don't worry and I didn't know Joel had a little brother," I then said. To be honest here I did know Joel had a little brother. Truth be told I knew all about the Pimentel family.
I know it sounds pretty creepy, but he has been friends with my brother for a long time. So I really do know a bit about Joel. But I really wanted to change subjects without being rude. "Oh yeah he does, he actually has two younger brothers and one older one," he said smiling. "I wish I had more siblings, I love Yoandri lots but I would have loved to have a younger sibling," I said after a while.
"I have to admit it would be fun to have a little Cabrera around," he said smirking a bit. "O-oh yeah it would be," I said stuttering and blushing a bit. "As much as I enjoy watching you blush I think we should start taking you home, we really do not want Yoandri to get angry," he said with a sad voice.
"You are right, we do not need a little feisty Yoandri coming to get me," I said laughing a bit. "Come on then let's go," he said as he grabbed my hand. It felt nice but I just couldn't really enjoy the moment. It felt out of place, but I didn't pull my hand away. Soon enough we were on his car and our way back to my house.
The ride back home was a silent one. But it was a comfortable silence. And soon enough we were pulling into our drive way. Once the car comes to a stop Erick proceeds to open my side door for me and helps me out. "Thank you, for everything really I had a great time," I tell him as soon as we get to my front door steps. "Thank you for agreeing to go to the movies with me, maybe we could do this again soon?" He said smiling a lot.
"I would love that," I said back. But soon he started leaning in and I could not move I was literally frozen on the spot. Erick is really handsome but I think it's too soon for this, I really needed a miracle right now. Thank goodness I was given a miracle. Yoandri suddenly opened the door which startled both of us, making Erick jump back. Thank you savior Yoandri.
"Um you are late," he said sternly. "Come on Yoandri it is just one minute?!" I said whining a bit. "A minute too much, now in you go you are grounded till I say otherwise," he said as I went inside the house. But before I could turn back and thank Erick once again Yoandri closed the door just like that. "I LOVE YOU TOO YOANDRI," was all I heard from Erick as he got inside his car and left with a smile on his face.
I then turned to Yoandri who was giving me suspicious glances. "So did you guys do the dirty?" He asked cheekily. "Eww Yoandri, good night," I laughed as I made my way upstairs to my room. "WE WILL HAVE A TALK ABOUT THIS YOUNG LADY," Yoandri said last as I closed my door. "Figures," I sighed. But I was soon distracted by a beep coming from my phone.
But before I could check it I decided to take a quick shower. So I got in and 40 minutes later I got out feeling relaxed. Lastly, I put on my pjs and I laid down on my bed. Oh wait !! The message!! I quickly grab my phone and I opened the message. It read: goodnight beautiful 💗 . But it wasn't the message that made me blush like crazy. The massage wasn't from Erick ... It was from Joel. I quickly answer him with a simple: goodnight ❣. And with that I fall asleep with a big smile on my face.
