Luke's pov
I was walking around the quiet part of town, clearing my head. The boys and I just got home from tour late last night and i just needed a walk. I had my hood up so fans wouldn't spot me.
As i walked past a alleyway, i heard small crys and whimpers. I decided to check it out and walked into the alley. A small figure was laying next to a dumpster. I walked closer and gasped at what I saw.
A little girl, not any older than 3, curled into a ball and crying. She only had a nappy on. I could see her ribs, she was close to death.
I crouched down next to her. She looked up at me and whimpered. I could tell she was scared and cold. I quickly took off my hoody and wrapped it around her fragile body. She snuggled into it.
"Hey sweetie. I'm Luke "i said, wanting her to get comfortable around me.
"H-hi "she said quietly.
"Can you tell me your name "i asked.
"R-rain "she answered.
"What are you doing out here by yourself "
"My m-muwwy and d-daddy left m-mw h-here "
"Aww, I'm sorry. How old are you? "I asked. She held up 2 fingers.
"Sweetheart, how would you like to come home with me? We'll get you something to eat and a warm bath "i asked. She nodded, making grabby hands for me.
I picked her up and made sure my hoody stayed around her. Rain snuggled into my neck, sucking her thumb.
I walked out of the alley. There was a small IGA on the corner, i decided to quickly go there and get some nappies, before going home.

I arrived home, Rain was still snuggled into my neck. She was so cute. I heard the boys yelling, like normal. Rain whimpered, probably scared from the noise.
"It's ok, their just my friends "i reassured her. She nodded a little and went back to sucking her thumb.
I walked into the kitchen and put the bag of nappies down. I grabbed her a breakfast bar and a bottle of water with a straw. I opened the packet and let her eat.
"Luke, why is there a small child on our kitchen counter "i heard someone ask. I turned around to see Ashton standing in the room.
"I found her on the streets and she was hungry, so I decided to bring her back here "i explained. Ash nodded.
"You might want to tell the boys before they walk in here "he said.
"How am i going to do that "i asked. Ashton shrugged.
"Oh, thanks for the help Ash "i said, sarcastically.
Ashton left the room. I looked back at Rain. She was finished eating and now was sucking on her thumb again. I mentality awed at her cuteness.
"You ready to have a bath sweetheart "i asked. Rain nodded.
I picked her up and made my way upstairs to the bathroom. I closed and locked the door behind us. I let Rain down and started a warm bath. I put in some bubble stuff that Ash keeps under the sink because he likes all things girly.
Once the bath was half full, i checked it to see how hot it was. It was pretty warm, so I grabbed Rain, who was now running around the room.
"Okay sweetheart, time for a bath "i said smiling at her. She smiled.
I took my hoody off her, as well as her nappy. I put the nappy in the bin, before putting Rain in the bath tub. She sat down and started to play with the bubbles. I let her play for 10 minutes, before washing her body and hair. Rain giggled the whole time i washed her hair.
When I finished washing her, i got Rain out and quickly wrapped a towel around her. I pulled the plug out of the bath tub, letting out the water. I saw Rain shivering.
I helped her dry off and used my blow-dryer to dry her hair. I wrapped the towel around her again and picked her up, walking over of the bathroom and into mine. Just as i was about to change her, i remember that i left the nappies downstairs.
I told Rain to wait on my bed for a second, as i ran downstairs and grabbed the nappies, before running back up to my room. Luckily, the boys were still in the lounge room.
I changed Rain into a clean nappy and one of my old shirts that was to small for me, even though it's still way to big for her. Rain started to jump on my bed, giggling like crazy.
"Come on sweetheart, i need to go tell the boys about you "i said, picking Rain up.
"Ok Lukey "she said quietly.
I walked downstairs and into the lounge room. Michael was the first one to see me, he looked very confused.
"Luke, why are you holding a kid "he asked. Calum turned around, having the same reaction as Michael.
"I found her on the streets "i said, sitting on the couch with Rain on my lap.
"Why did you bring her back here? "Cal asked.
"Her parents abandoned her "i said.
"What's your name "Ashton asked, getting up and crouching down in front of me and Rain.
"Rain "she answered.
"She's so cute "Calum said, smiling.
Rain smiled and hide her face in my chest. We all awed at her cuteness.

The next day, the boys took Rain to a adoption center and adopted her. They decided to give her the life she deserves.
