Chapter 6

Vikk's Pov:
( ' = Sign Language / " = Talking )

Pete's and Brandon's brother Jackson, said that they would teach Joe and then they were also going to help Lachlan. They also invited my brother over to dinner to get started. I smiled and after thanking them I ran out of the house to go get my brother. When I got to my house I saw that my mothers car was not in the driver way. I frowned, and I walked in the door to find my brother sitting on the couch watching T.V. I hated when my mother left my brother at home by himself. But I was able to take him with out my mother questioning it. I walked in front of the T.V and Joe smiled when he saw me.

"Hey bro."

I smile and turned off the T.V and he frowned.

"Hay I was watching that."

He said, I rolled my eyes and I started to write on my hand and my brother nodded and ran out of the room to get the paper. He came back a second latter and handed me a paper and pencil. And I asked him if he wanted to be able to talk to me and his face lit up, and he nodded. I wrote a note for my mother and I set it on the table and took and took my brothers hand and pulled on it and he followed me all the way back to Pete's house.

I knocked on the door and Pete answered with a smile on his face. And opened the door wider we walked in and I pull Joe into the kitchen. And I saw Jackson sitting there helping Lachlan with sign language.  I smiled and pushed Joe into the room and Pete's mother and Jackson noticed him.

"Hi, my name is Crystal, I am Brandon's mother." She states to Joe.

"I am Jackson Brandon's Brother." Jackson states looking at Joe.

"I am Joe, and I am Vikk's little Brother." Joe states shyly.

"So your brother is a selective Mute, that is why he doesn't talk, now how would you like to be able to talk to him?" Jackson asks.

"I would love to talk to my brother! I don't think I have ever really talked to him. For as long as I can remember he has not said one word." Joe says.

I rub the back of my neck in glut and I frown.

"Vikk how long have you been a mute?" Pete's mom asks me

'roughly four years.' I sign.

"Your brother was 6 no wonder he doesn't remember." Jackson states.

"I don't even remember my dad..." Joe states.

I feel tears start to run down my face but I quickly wipe them away. But Pete notice and pulled me into a hug.

"Vikk are you okay?" Joe asks.

I nod my head and I kiss his head.

"Okay well Joe my mother and myself are going to teacher you sigh language do you can talk to your brother. But your mother can't find out okay?" Jackson states looking at him.

"But why?" Joe asks.

"Because, Your mother, doesn't want you to be able to talk to him. She thinks that he will start talking if you don't learn it." Lachlan states.

"But not learning it is just hurting Vikk but your mother doesn't see it." Matt adds.

"So that is why you can't tell." Pete's mother states.

"I promise not to tell." Joe states.

I smile and pick him up and hug him tightly, he hugs me back just as tight and after a few minutes I put him back down.

"Alright Joe lets get started." Jackson states.

~~ Time Skip ~~

After about an hour or two we took a break and ate dinner then we went straight back to learning. Joe was doing a great job at it and Lachlan was doing pretty good to. When it was time for us to leave Joe was able to under stand the simple questions and Lachlan had the alphabet and all of the questions down. I was really happy.

Myself and Joe walked into the house to face a frowning mother.

"I was out for 5 minutes and you left with Joe?"

"Pete's mother invited us to dinner so Vikk came and got me. So we have been there." Joe states.

I nod my head and my mother sighs.

"What ever go to bed." my mother states. We both walk up the stairs I hug my brother.

'I love you very much Joe.'

"I love you to Vikk."

I smile ear to ear and I kiss my brothers head before walking into my room. I was very happy and i don't think anything could ruin it.
