3: Cadenza!

Your P.O.V:

I sat with Laurance waiting for Aphmau to wake up and when she finally woke she was freaking out.

"WHAT HAPPENED?!" She screamed. I ran over to her and calmed her down.

"Woah! Aphmau calm down. Breathe in and out slowly and then I will explained." I said softly. Laurance came over too and helped. "After you healed Dante you panicked yourself about what you did and you passed out. Everyone worried me and Laurance moved you to a bed and Dante started freaking out thing you gave up your life energy for him." I explained. Aphmau looked worried again.

"Y/N! Where is everyone?" She asked staying calm.

"Y/N sent them out so you had room to breathe, but neither of us wanted to leave you side so we stayed and waited for you to wake up. Zoey just left. I'll go get everyone else now." And with that Laurance left and I were standing there with Aphmau.

"So... do you like Laurance?" I asked breaking the silence. Aphmau looked at me confused and then laughed.

"He is my guard Y/N, Of course I like him. I only think of him as my friend and guard. Why do you ask?" She answered. You started to blush and she understood why. "You like him don't you?" She smirked.

"I have liked him ever since I moved to Metilli... after my village was burnt down. Me and him would always talk abut being guards and then the day the Lord was killed by Sasha I went after Sasha and died in the Nether. Brought back to life as a Shadow Knight and I tried to help people to get out of the Nether quickly so they didn't become like me. I saw you come in to save a wolf and then you came back in with Laurance. I wanted to get you both out but Gene stopped Laurance and then he became a Shadow Knight. I was trying to save him but..." I could hold my tears any longer. Aphmau sat up and brought me into a hug.

"Okay I think you should stop explaining now I can see it hurts you." She said calming me down. I heard and punch against a wall and saw everyone come up, but Laurance was there.

"I'll leave you all to talk." I said running out to find a quiet place to cry.

Laurance's P.O.V:

I sit at the docks and throw stones into the water.

'Why would she want me not to be a Shadow Knight if she loved me?' I thought to myself. I heard footsteps behind me. I put one hand on my sword and turned my head. I saw Malachi, I took my hand off my sword and he came to sit down next to me.

"She's hurting." I heard him say. I turned my head looking very confused and he noticed. "I mean Y/N is hurting. Her biggest fear is loosing you." I threw a stone into the water again and sat there silently. "You might want to go see her. She is sitting behind mum old house." He explained getting up and walking away. I got up and started walking around. I saw the gate closed and Alexis and Kyle on guard.

"Guys why are the gates closed?" I asked. Alexis came down and pointed outside to these black specter things. "SHADOW SOULS!" I shouted. Aphmau came down and saw them too "Did Y/N go out of the safe hold?" I asked worried. Alexis nodded and I freaking out now. I suddenly heard a scream from Aphmau's old house and I knew it was Y/N! "Alexis I need to get her back here!" I shouted tying to open the gate.

"I am sorry Laurance no one can leave the safe hold. She can defend herself." Alexis assured me, but I wasn't convinced. I felt tears rolling down my face and I felt helpless. She is hoping I will come save her but I can't. I then see the shadow souls from in front of the gate disappear and Y/N standing there in her shadow form and sword out. I look behind her and see a very familiar face.

"CADENZA!" I shouted opening the gate as Y/N (back in normal form) helped her down from her horse. We both hugged her and then Y/N walked off. "Y/N... Wait!" I ran up to her as Cadenza ran to Aphmau.

"What Laurance?" She seemed annoyed and didn't want to talk. She kept walking while I was talking.

"Look. I heard you scream-" I started but she cut me off.

"That wasn't me screaming. It was Cadenza because the shadow souls were about to attack her. I stopped them and she didn't know who I was until we got to the gates." She explained. We got to the town center and talked.

"Look I heard what you said to Aphmau. I still love you and I want to be with you, but why stop me becoming a Shadow Knight?" I asked looking at the ground. I looked up and saw Y/N in tears and I felt bad. I gave her a hug and calmed her down. "You loved me too much and didn't want me to suffer like you?" I guessed. I felt her nod and I hugged her tighter. I then heard Cadenza walk over to us.

"Seems the love you to had for each other hasn't faded even after all these years." She teased. I glared at her and then came out of the hug.

"When the princess go? Get locked up in her tower and let the minter lose?" I laughed. I saw Y/N take a step back and then Cadenza hit me.

"I dare you to say that again." She demanded. I shook my head and got up. Cadenza and Y/N were laughing and it reminded us all of old times.

"You guys coming to Meteli? Oh wait, Y/N you don't know what happened!" Cadenza started to explain what happened at Meteli, but Y/N stopped her.

"Cadenza someone a Brightport already told me what happened. Hey, but enough about that, how is Hayden?" Y/N asked. I think she hit and bad spot because I could see Cadenza holding back tears.

"Um... if you didn't know by now, I am now the lord of Meteli which means..." She tried to explain with tears, but she couldn't hold them in any longer. I looked at her with a broken heart and also felt like crying but I held back the tears.

"Sorry, but I think I am missing something?" Y/N interrupted. I looked at her and I had completely forgot she was there after the lord died.

"After you went into the Nether and found the old Lord dead, we didn't have a Lord. Hayden and Kenmur both wanted to become Lord and when Kenmur stepped down, Hayden became Lord. Which meant when he died me or Cadenza would become Lord, since I left to become Aphmau guard Cadenza was most likely to be Lord." I explained. Y/n understood and felt really bad for both of us, we basically lost our father. "Well Aphmau said she needed materials to rebuild the wall. Do you have suitable materials?" I answered Cadenza's question from earlier. "So yeah we'll get a little group together and head out." I smiled and we went back to the safe hold.
