Sans held the door open like a kind gentleman, and the smell of food overwhelmed you.
You walked into the bar, and Sans followed after, receiving many greetings from the other customers.
"Hey Sans!"
"(Hi Sans)!"
"Greetings, Sans!"
"Hiya, Sansy~"
"Hey, Sans, weren't you just here for breakfast a few minutes ago?"
"Nah," Sans replied. "I haven't had breakfast in at last half an hour. You're thinkin' of brunch."
The whole bar bursted into laughter, and you couldn't save yourself from letting out a few giggles.
You were about to sit down, when Sans stopped you.
"I was gonna prank the kid, but uh... since you're here..." Sans lifted a cloth from the seat to reveal a whoopee-cushion. He took it off of the bar stool and let you take a seat.
"Thanks for saving me from public embarrassment," you said.
"I didn't wanna be the one to cause it," Sans replied.
You giggled, and the bartender came over.
".....," He looked at you in silence.
"Grillbz asked if you wanted anything," a duck-like monster said.
"Oh," you said. "A cheeseburger, please."
"I'll have the usual," Sans said.
After 'Grillbz' left, you and Sans started to talk.
"Ya like the place?"
"It feels homie. I mean- it has the hottest bartender I've seen," you said, chuckling at your joke.
Sans' face tinted a light blue, from what seemed to be... jealously?
"Yeah, sure, buddy," Sans replied, rather harshly. You were suprised by his tone, him usually being carefree and soft-spoken.
Sans turned away from you. 'What did I do?' You wondered. 'Did I hurt his feelings? If so, then how? Did he misunderstand the joke?'
"Sans, are you okay? It was just a joke. I didn't mean to, um, offend you," you said.
He looked back at you, his carefree nature showing once again.
"It's fine. I'm fine," he said. He put his left hand on his cheekbone, and his elbow
on the bar-table, and briefly looked away from you once more. "You're fine," he whispered, not wanting you to hear it. Unfortunately for him, you did.You blushed. "What was that last part?"
His eye-sockets widened in suprise. "Nothing- I, um, uh- I just- um..-," his face turned light turquoise. You chuckled as he stumbled with his words.
'Grillbz' came back, and set the cheeseburger you asked for down in front of you, and.... a bottle of ketchup in front of Sans?
Before you could ask any questions, Sans tipped the bottle to his mouth, and started to chug it.
You just shrugged, grabbed the cheeseburger, and took a bite. You've honestly seen weirder stuff before. But you haven't tasted a burger this good.
It's better than any burger at any restaurant that you've been to. You took another bite. And another. And another. Soon enough you were finished.
You took one of the napkins Grillbz gave you, and wiped your mouth.
"Wow, (Y/N). You were hungrier than I thought," Sans chuckled.
"Not eating for a day can do that to you. Are we all set to go?" You asked.
"Sure, if you want. But there's some place I'd like to show you," Sans told you.
"Alright then. I don't mind. But are you sure Frisk will be okay alone?"
"They'll be fine. They've got Papyrus looking after them. Now let's go."
Sans' abrubt urge to leave took you by surprise. But you still agreed to go with him. And you would not regret it later.
"You could put this on my tab, Grillbz."
Grillby waved you and Sans out the door. You eagerly wondered what Sans had wanted to show you so badly.
You shivered in the cold, wintery air and quickly put your hoodie back on. Yet, you were still freezing.
"You okay there, (Y/N)?" Sans asked you. Your face turned red, from the cold and him caring.
"I-I'm Fi-ine. Just a l-little c-cold," You told him.
Sans' face displayed a sympathetic expression. He took off his jacket.
"You could wear it 'til we get there. I won't mind," he offered.
"N-no thank y-you. I c-couldn't. You n-need to stay w-warm too, r-right?"
"I'm a skeleton. I don't have skin. You should take it for now," Sans said.
You smiled at him through chattering teeth. "T-thank you."
You take the jacket from his hands and put it on. It was quite baggy on you, but you got used to it quickly.
"C'mon. Let's go," Sans said with a smile. He held out his hand for you to take, his cheeks tinted with a light blue. Your face turned redder than before.
You gently place your hand in his, watching everything around you fade into nothing.
You amuse Sans with your suprised expression, as seen by his chuckling.
When you appeared at a river-like area, you suddenly become dizzy, stumbling into Sans' arms.
You look up at him. He's blushing madly, and your left hand is on his chest, your right on his shoulder, your faces barely two inches apart.
You push away from him, your eyes wide in embarrassment.
"Sorry! I just fell and I- I mean-" You rambled.
"It's alright, it's fine. But..." Sans sighed. "I need to ask you something."
After what just happened, you weren't sure if you could answer his question without getting all flustered.
"Do you remember anything before the last reset?"
