"Last reset? I don't understand," you told Sans. His eager expression faltered into a depressed one, telling you he was upset with your answer.
You opened your mouth to apologize for not knowing, but he quickly interrupted you.
"I thought you would. I mean, you've remembered all of them until now," Sans said. "You can't recall any of it? Not even us? Not even me?"
Sans' eye sockets welled up with tears. You felt horrible seeing him like this. You put a sympathetic hand on his shoulder, and tried to remember. Just to make him happy again.
"Sans, I-"
FWOOSH!
Something flew by your head, just inches away from it. You looked in the direction it went in and saw a light blue spear. Your eyes widened and you froze in fear, going pale as you were unable to move your legs.
You turn around and see another spear coming towards you.
"Fuck," you say.
You reflexively cover your face, but you know that won't be enough to shield you. You wait a few seconds for the upcoming pain...
But nothing came.
You look up and see Sans standing in front of you with one arm protecting you and a glowing blue eye, looking pissed the fuck off. You were a few feet away from where you were standing.
"Sans! You are way out of line," said a gruff female voice.
"Oh, really? I didn't think I was, Undyne," Sans replied.
'Undyne' stepped out of the shadows, a menacing look on her face.
"How low are you? Defending a puny human? How pathetic. You know I would destroy you in two seconds if you weren't Papyrus' brother," the fish scoffed.
Sans' eye burned brighter as three
goat-like skulls appeared, and Undyne showed a glint of fear."I suggest you stop making threats and leave, or you're gonna have a bad time."
"Bringing irony into this, aren't we?" Undyne smirked.
The skulls opened their mouths and glowing balls of energy charged in each.
"I. Said. Leave." Sans' voice was deep and intimidating, turning you and Undyne pale at the sound of it.
Undyne's tough-girl exterior completely vanished as she let out a high-pitched yelp. In the blink of an eye, she was running to who knows where.
Sans snapped his fingers and the goat skulls disappeared. As soon as Undyne went out of sight, he turned to you, a lazy smile on his face.
"Are you alright? She didn't graze you with that spear, did she?" Sans saw your frightened expression. "Sorry if I scared ya. It's Undyne's job to kill humans. The king needs seven souls to break the barrier," Sans told you.
He confused you. "If you need my soul to leave, then why did you protect me?"
"Two reasons," Sans said.
"For one, we both have siblings to be there for. It's kinda the same reason why Undyne didn't try to fight me," he told you.
"And the second?" You eagerly ask him.
"Because if I had let Undyne kill you and take your soul-," Sans placed a boney hand on your cheek.
"-I wouldn't be able to do this." Sans leaned in and brought his teeth to your lips.
Your eyes widened, but you didn't pull away. The feeling you got was strangely familiar, and you couldn't tell why.
You slowly melted into the kiss, closing your eyes to savor the moment.
You put your hand on Sans' cheekbone, and it feels like everything else was gone.
Oh my God! Is this actually happening? Why does it feel like I've done this before? This is my first-
You went back to reality as Sans gently pulled away. The white pin-pricks in his eye-sockets formed into little cyan hearts, and the both of you were blushing madly.
"Even if you don't remember, I wouldn't mind doing this all over again," Sans said, smiling sadly.
Your face turned redder (If that's even possible) and you smiled with him.
"I wish I did. To make you happier," You told him.
His smile got bigger, and he pulled you in for a tight hug.
"Thank you, (Y/N)," Sans said.

I worked on this in my ELA classes, my Science classes, my Math classes, AND my Lunch period. Don't worry about my education, that was all AFTER I finished my work early. I went all out for this one, and I even changed a lot of the wording. I really hope you enjoyed! Byee!
