"I've been sleepless at night

Cause I don't know how I feel
I've been waiting on you
Just to say something real."

"SHIT," Elvira muttered, snapping her head away from any possibility of his vision.

"What?" Lisa asked quickly, afraid something had already gone wrong.

Elvira didn't answer her. She stared at her glass, wishing more than before that the drink was alcoholic. She didn't want to be there. It was too close to home. Too close for comfort.

Elvira forgot about all her training, all her scars. She forgot her memories with Sara, her laughter shared with her friend. She couldn't remember what had happened during the past couple of years.

In that moment, all she remembered was the face of the only person she'd ever loved.

The one person who couldn't love her back.

All her memories from her past life started to drift into her mind. Patty. Evan. Ethan. Mum. Dad. Cheerleading.
          Coach. High School. Iris. Barry.

Barry.
Barry.
Barry.

She had spent so long locking those memories away. All it took was one glance at his face to make them all rush to those he surface of her mind. She didn't want to those heh ink about that. She didn't want to think about the fact that she was dead.

Elvira didn't need to remember the things that she could not have.

The things and people from her old life.

Elvira just really needed a stronger drink in her glass.

"Elvira?" Lisa asked, concerned at her silence.

"Yeah?" Elvira snapped her head up.

"Are you okay?"

Elvira paused. She forced herself to lift the ends of her lips into somewhat of a smile.

"Mhmm." She quirked, her tone much higher than intended. "I just really need a drink that can do more harm than the sugar in my cup." She said referring to the soda in her cup.

"Fine, two shots. That's it." Lisa said firmly.

"Each?" Elvira hoped.

"You're pushing it." Lisa smiled as she moved away from the table.

"And a beer or two," Elvira said to her friend with a charming smile.

Lisa made a face at her friend's choice in drinks. Although Elvira seemed to enjoy the taste of beer, Lisa couldn't disagree more. She had openly told Elvira her extreme disgust for the bitter drink.

"Where is your dignity?" Lisa shook her head.

"The same place your brother left his," Elvira smirked.

"Brutal."

"I love you."

"Yeah, yeah." Lisa brushed her off as she walked towards the bar.

Elvira let out a deep breath, feeling slightly better even though he was still only a few meters away from her. She did her best to stop thinking about it. About him.
