Night after night

Even when the rollercoaster ride started downhill,
Bringing my eyes up to meet yours,
Was as difficult as to see through those eyes blurred by tears.

After a while,
I gave up and started looking ahead,
Staring at my computer screen with a blank mind,
Typing away without thinking,
While our Facetime was still running on phone next to my computer.

When I have turned to my phone,
Caught you staring at me with those eyes,
All I could see was nothing but pain.
I tried to force a smile,
A broken but warm smile,
Yet all you did was let out a soft sigh,
And turn away from your phone.

I thought that you have stopped caring,
I thought that you have stopped loving.

But it was me,
Itwas me who has stopped asking.
