She stares at the stars at night
He stares at his ceiling
Two opposite worlds
Yet I have never seen any two beings more alike
She wakes with the birds
He sleeps until woken
They are connected
But continents separate there lonely souls
She dropped out of school
He couldn't care less
Two rumbling oceans
Waiting for a passing storm
Her father beats her
He never listens to his
I watch them sleep, so alive
Only for them to wake, and slowly die
Dirt covers her body
Lipstick stains cover his
They yearn for love
And I long to make there oceans meet
She is fucked by her father's friend
And he fucks his friends sister
But they never had patience
And they only fear themselves
She cuts her wrists
He takes to many pills
I call to them in there dreams
But they never listen
She hates her body
All he does is show it
I sent them help
They brushed me aside
She kissed death on the lips
He fucked it
The storm has pounded upon them
Leaving two still oceans
I just wish I got there first

This is about a girl and a boy who live in different environments but are both alone. Emotionally they are connected because they hate their life, and wish for it to end. The person writing in first person is almost like mother nature but instead of nature she protects them. She attempts to help them but they never let her.
This was a different style from my usual poems but I hope you still enjoyed it.
