Chapter fifty three

||Lauren's POV||

"No!" Mercy screams running down the stairs
"Mercy what the fuck are you doing!" I yell
"That's a good girl" mercy's dad smiles
"Fuck you dad!" Mercy yells
"Well come with me and your family will be safe" he says
"Okay" she says defeated
"No!" I yell

He shoves me

"Better me then you" she says dropping her head
"No" I whisper
"Mercy you can't do this" Camz says tears rolling down her face,
"What if- what if he hurts you?" Dinah says
"I'll be okay, as long as you're okay" she says touching my cheek gently smiling while there are tears in her eyes
"Baby" I say tears falling faster now
"I don't have all
Fucking day!" Her dad yells
"I love you" she says
"Baby" I say again
"Lauren, I love you"
"I- I love you too, I'll-i'll fucking find you I swear" I cry
"I don't want you hurt, when I leave call the cops, I'll try to text you" she says
"O-okay"

Her dad grabs her by the wrist and leaves.

What the fuck did I just do.

I call the cops quickly and run out and flatten the tire of mercy's dads car.

They can't leave.

The cops come rushing and I'm smiling

"You fucking shit!" He yells then I feel a sharp pain in my stomach??

||Mercy's POV||

"Lauren!!" I yell running to her side
"Hah, she won't live" my dad gloats
"Neither will you" I glare

The cops come and so do the paramedics

Dads gone
For a long time.

And I'm
So happy.

I'm at the hospital with Lauren and everyone else.

"I'm so sorry baby girl, I told you not to get involved" I cry
"I-it's okay, you're safe now" she gives me a weak smile
"B-b-but you aren't Lauren"
"Hey, I'm safe now baby girl" she smiles
"B-b-but Y-Y-You're hurt, badly" I say
"I know baby, it's okay" she says
"No, no it's not Lauren"
"Baby" she says touching my cheek ever so gently
"I'm okay" she says
"Okay" I sigh
"Does, does it hurt really bad?" I ask
"It's pretty bad baby, I mean I did get stabbed" she smiles weakly at me
"Yeah, but I just, I don't know Lauren, I'm so fucking sorry that I let him do that to you and I don't know babe, I'm so sorry and I just need Stevie and ally right now and I-i-i-i" I stutter
"Go to Camz baby girl" Lauren can barely get those words out

I nod and walk away shaking

"C-c-c-Camz?" I ask walking into the waiting room
"Oh my god mercy are you okay?"
"N-no" I stutter
"Okay, follow me" she's says

She takes me to a janitors closet and closes the door

"C'mere" she says

I cuddle close to her as she holds me
While I cry.

"Why, why did she have to get stabbed? Why not me god damnit" I rant
"Hey, look at me" she says

I look
At her

"Don't wish that upon yourself, you know she will
Live, she always does okay? You did what you thought was the right choice, you sacrificed yourself for Lauren, then she did the same exact thing, she did what she thought was right as well, but you know what? I think you were both wrong." She says
"How so?" I ask
"I think we could have avoided it if we just called the cops, or pulled out the gun Lauren keeps"
"True, but we all panicked, no one thought of that" I sniffle out calming down
"True, when you are panicked it seems more evident to take the hard way out" Camz nods
"Yes very true"
"I love you Camz" I smile
"I love you too merc" she smiles back

There we are, cuddling in a janitors closet,

My eyes drift off.

And I'm out.

||Camz's POV||

I carry mercy to Lauren's room number and set her in one of the chairs.

"Thanks Camz, I was having a hard time breathing when she needed me.."
"It's okay Lolo, it was no problem at all" I smile
"Okay, well I love you, goodnight" she smiles at me
"Love you too, lo, goodnight" I smile walking out.

I walk over to Dinah

"Hey" I smile
"Hey, how are they?" She asks
"They are good, where's your boo?" I ask
"She went to go get something to eat" Dinah shrugs
"Oh fun" I say
"Yeah, why were you gone so long?" She asks
"Oh I was calming mercy down, because lo couldn't. She was having trouble breathing" I say
"Oh, damn" Dinah says
"Yeah"
"How are you?"
"Me?" I ask
"Yes you"
"I'm, well I'm okay, little overwhelmed, but okay"
"As long as you're okay Mila" Dinah smiles
"Thanks"
"No problem"

With that, I pass out on a nice comfy recliner in a hospital waiting room.
