Chapter 13

Laura's POV

Me- Vanessa, calm down I'm here now.

Vanessa- I can't believe she's gone! She was like a second mother to me.

Me- its okay, vanessa.

Ross' POV

I wake up to go to the washroom.

When I was coming back I went into Laura's room to check on her and she wasn't there.

I saw a note on her pillow. I read it and I changed and went to Laura's house.

Laura's POV

The doorbell rang and I opened it.

Me- ross!

He hugged me and gently kissed me on my cheek. Then wiping away the tears coming out of my eyes.

Me- ill be right back, Vanessa.

She nods.I pull Ross up into my room and quietly close the door.

Ross- I'm really sorry about your aunt.

Me- its not your fault but thanks.

Ross- Vanessa seems really sad about this whole thing.

Me- yeah I know. You shoulda brought Riker to cheer Vanessa up.

Ross- yeah, I guess I really didn't think about that. I just read your note, got dressed then left.

Me- thanks for caring.

Ross- no problem. I asked Riker if you could open up for us.

Me- what did he say?

Ross- he said it would be okay.

He picks up a couple sheets of paper and opens them up.

He reads it then he looks up at me.

Ross- what about a duet? Me and you.

Me- what?

Ross- a duet! This song would be perfect for it.

I look at the sheets of paper and read them.

Me- I wrote that years ago.

Ross- but it's perfect.

I smile.

Me- okay, okay. A duet it is!

Me and Ross sing it and play piano and guitar along. Acoustic Version!!! Lol.

I played piano and he played guitar.

I actually play a bunch of instruments.

Piano, guitar, violin, drums, flute, trumpet, bag pipes, spoons, banjo, viola, electric guitar, clarinet, cello, oboe, double bass, tambourine and ukulele.

After we practiced.

Me- Ross, I wanna show you something.

I pull him into my basement.

Ross- woah! I never been in your basement.

Me- yep!

Ross- I didn't know you had a whole set of instruments down here. A drum set, guitars hanging on the walls, some on stands and a grand piano.

Me- yeah. I used them alot before I met you. Then I just had hardly any time because I'm always with you.

I love music it's one thing that I can't live without.

Ross- would you choose music over me?

I sat up in shock when he said that.

I sat down and thought for a moment.
