Chapter 12

Ross' POV

Riker walked into the room.

Riker- okay Ross, band meeting.

Me- okay. Good timing!! We were just talking about it.

We get up and go to the basement for band meeting and a rehearsal.

Riker- okay Ross, do you have a song.

Me-why do I have to write it it's supposed to be a group thing.

Rocky- okay so lets write a song then.

Ratliff- but the concert is in a couple days.

Rydel- then we should start now. Laura can help!

Riker- Laura, want to help? Please.

Laura- of course I will. I already have a few ideas.

Rocky- lets hear them.

Laura- there all in my song book and its in my room.

Ratliff- okay.

Riker- lets start anyways.

Laura- ill go get my book.

Laura walks up stairs as we wait for her to return.

She comes back a couple minutes later.

Laura- I got it.

Riker- lets hear!!!

Laura- okay, okay. For song title I have:

Ratliff- what about lyrics?

Laura- I have a few lyrics for each song.

Rocky- there kinda girly songs.

Laura- well sorry for being a girl.

We all started to laugh.

Riker- yeah rocky's right.

Laura- okay. Ill be upstairs.

Laura's POV

I went upstairs to go get some snacks.

I found Stormie in the kitchen.

Stormie- why are you up here? Everyone's downstairs, sweetie.

Me- snacks.

Stormie- ill help.

Me- thanks.

We get some bite sized muffins and brownies.

I bring the tray downstairs and see them already rehearsing.

Me- snack break!!!

Riker- we just started but okay!!!

I set the trey down on the table as everyone gets a brownie or a muffin.

I sit beside Ross on the couch as he kisses me on the cheek.

Ross- how'd you know I was hungry?!?

Me- I can read minds...... From a distance!

We started to laugh then I put my head on his shoulder for a couple minutes until they had to go back to rehearsing.

They practiced there older songs and decided to make a new song later.

When they finished it was almost midnight so we decided to go to bed. I slept in the guest room.

I was texting Vanessa. She was worried where I was.

I fell asleep a couple hours later.

I wake up to see its still dark out and my phones vibrating.

I pick it up and answer it.

- CONVO -

Me- hello?

Vanessa- *sniff* she g-gone. *sniff*

Me- who? Aunt lily?

Vanessa- yes! *Sniff* She was the closest thing I had for a mom.

Me- ill be over as soon as I can.

- END OF CONVO -

I hung up and quickly wrote a note to Ross saying:

If your wondering why I'm not here, then here it is.

My aunt Lilyannette has died over the night and I went back home.

Vanessa was sad and she needed someone. Come over when you wake up. <3

I quickly got my things, put the note on my pillow and ran home as fast as I could.

I open the door and see Vanessa crying and uncle Gasper trying to comfort her.

Vanessa- Laura!!!

She runs to me and she hugs me really right. Like I mean really tight!
