Chaper Six

(F/m) - Favorite Meal

You feel something cold and wet touching your hand. You feel drowsy and you have a hard time opening your eyes. You hear a whine from (d/n). Your mind is still cloudy and slow, and you have a headache.

"T-Tsukiyama." You mumble.

Slowly your eyes open up, and your vision focuses onto the ceiling. Your mouth is dry and your throat burns.

(D/n) is wagging (his/her) tail and jumping around excitedly. You continue to lay still on your bed, when there is a knock on your door.

"Hello? Miss (y/n)? Are you awake? I was sent by Master Shuu to check on you."

It's a woman's voice. Probably a maid. You're too tired to speak so you don't say anything. The knob clicks and the door swings open. A small woman with dark brown hair and golden brown eyes walks in, gracefully.

With a sweet smile she looks at you.

"I see you're awake," she says softly "you must be incredibly thirsty." She continues as she leaves the room. She pushes a cart in with a plate of food and a pitcher of iced water, filled strawberries and blueberries.

The maid walks over to the bed quickly with small steps, and she helps sit you up. When you have pillows propped behind you he goes back over to the cart. She pours some of the fruit infused water into a glass and she raises it up to your lips. Slowly, she begins tipping the glass until you've had a good amount of water, and she sets the glass down.

"Thank you." You say quietly. The water soothed your throat but you still have a bit of roughness to your voice.

"You're quite the sleeper, Miss. You have been asleep for 4 days. It's 7 o'clock at night!"  She says in a kind tone.

"What is your name?" You ask.

"My name is Octavia. I'm a maid here." She replies.

"Octavia, what happened? Why am I here and why can't I leave?"

He face saddens and she looks at you with grief in her eyes.

"As you were escaping, Master Shuu caught up with you. He injected a heavy sleep inducer into your arm, and he brought you back here." She tells you while adjusting the pillows.

You sit in silence.

"Why can't I leave?" You ask her.

She ignores the question and pats your head softly.

"I must inform Master Shuu that you have awoken. I'll be back soon." She says as she turns on her heel and walks briskly out the door. You sigh, and lay your head back against a pillow.

As your head presses against the surface, you hear a muffled crinkling noise. You sit up and reach your hand into the pillow case, and you pull out a slip of paper. You open it and begin to read.

When you eventually leave this room, turn right and go down the hallway. You must go to the very end. The candle holder mounted on the wall is a combination lock.
