Forgotten Brother

Chapter 14

I may be twisted, I may be crazy, but in reality we are the same. Equal. You are just like me. No matter what you tell yourself, I am you and you are me.

For the Zelda haters;
"What happened to you?" Link asked, now he had stopped sobbing. I break away.
"You don't want to know" he grabs me agin by the shoulders, and speaks to me in a serious tone.
"Yes, I do. I don't care how bad it is, I want to know." 
I put my hands on his, and bring him to the ground. I sit across from him. I look at Crow.
"You too." I don't care if Link doesn't like that I brought someone else. She comes over quietly.
"Hello again," Link says to her in greeting. She does a small bow, and sits next to me.
How do I start... Ah. I was just leaving home...

Still Ben's POV
"I was still just a small boy, about twelve years of age. Link, you were sixteen. You had set out looking for Navi, but instead ended up looking for the mask. H-he came to me. The mask salesman. He asked me to get the mask back. He offered  me fame and fortune. I set out for Termina at once, to start my quest. The first two days were smooth. Then, I started to get, er, c-competitive. On the final day, I met another man looking for the mask. I-I-"
I turned away.
"It's okay." Link grabbed my shoulder, and turned me towards him.
"And? I don't care what you do, your still my brother and I'm happy to see you." I begin again.
"I k-killed him. Then the moon children came. They chained my arms behind my back, and then to a rock. I couldn't swim. They
d-drowned me a-and gouged out my eyes. I still have the chains" I hold out my arms for Link to
inspect. He gently grabs my arms, and rolls them, to look at them. He says nothing.
"I ran away from home, because I thought you'd not want anything to do with me. Sixteen years. You've grown, and, I'm-I'm still twelve. I later found out that I was under a curse, by the moon children. That curse, was lifted today by the Triforce"
My story is ending. I've got to be prepared for Link's reaction. I slowly move my hand closer to where my sword is.
"The curse's lift made me realize how much I missed you. I mean, anytime someone in the mansion said 'Link', I would miss you, but I wanted to see you again so bad after the curse was lifted. I-i thought I might be able to avoid the past, since I look the same as when I left, b-but, I guess the past has to be told, sometimes."
There. I'm finished. Now they know.
"Judge me. I dare you" I growl to myself.
Link looks at me, and takes a deep breath out.
"God I missed you. Did you really have to leave?" Link asks, genuinely curious
"Seriously?! Out of that whole story of me killing people and drowning that's the only question-"
"It's the only part I care about. The past is the past. You can't change it." Link interrupts.
"You sound like Jeff, Link." Crow says quietly.
Link and I look at her.
"Jeff gets caught up in the heat of the moment. He loved Liu, but killed him because he got caught up in the heat of the moment." She finishes, and turns to Link.
"I'm sorry to interrupt, but We need to get back to the mansion. Slender wanted to talk to me, and I need Ben to get back. Can't you two see each other again?"
"Yeah. Okay see you two." Link smiles. I stand and Crow does too. I grab her hand
"See ya, big bro." And I teleport us back into Slender's office
