"When will this day end!?" I groan.

"Girl we in 7th period shit time can't go any faster stop complaining" Mandi says.

"I can not wait to leave this hell hole" I say.

"You and August been getting cozy I hear" Mandi says with a smirk on her face.

"No we haven't he's just been so helpful though I really appreciate the stuff he's done. I would have been out in the streets right now.".

"Nope cause you and Tika would have been up in my house till further notice... You really think I'd let my best friend suffer like that?" She ask.

"Thanks girl, but we have been talking a lot he comes visit me like these few weeks have been really good to me" I say smiling. I genuinely mean this stuff August is a great guy with a big heart. He's been doing so much for us thankfully my sister started her new job so we aren't really depending on him.

"He really likes you Indy, You know him and my cousin cool and my cousin said all he do is talk about yo ass when they together" She says laughing

I can't help but to blush at the fact that he talks about me to other people. "I really hope shit stays like this" I say. Tika first check was $800 after we split the grocery bill she put it aside to get our new apartment. August constantly kept offering to just get us the apartment but me being the prideful woman I am I told him no.

"You coming to my house after school?" Mandi ask.

"Yeah let's stop by my place so I can get some clothes I can just sleep over your place" I say.

The school bell rings and all of us get up instantly. The hall ways crowded and people just don't know how to walk. This girl bumps into me then rolls her eyes at me. I ignore it and just keep walking. People at this school live for drama.

"So prom is two months away August needs to be your date" Mandi says.

"Girl he won't come to prom with me.".

"Why not ?" She ask stopping to look at me.

"He's a grown man he isn't worried about that stuff... " I reply.

"Girl please you his little baby he'll do it for you" She says.

"I love when he calls me that it's such a turn on and that accent of his get me all the time".

"I bet!" Mandi exclaims.

I laugh. "That looks like his car" I say looking at the red and black Dodge Charger.

"That is him" Mandi says walking towards it.

"I didn't know he was picking us up." I say.

"Come one girl what you nervous to see your man for? Plus we got a hot date tonight" Mandi says.

"What up ladies?" August ask.

"Hi." I say smiling.

"Thanks for picking us up, can you take us to Indy house first to get some clothes" Mandi says.

"Sure, how was ya day baby?" He ask lookin at me.

"It was good , how was yours?" I ask.

"Better now" He says.

"Can y'all do that cute shit later" Mandi says. Causing August and I to laugh. I sneak a few glimpse of August outfit not trying to make it noticeable I was staring at him.

We arrive to my place I go straight up the stairs to my place. Tika won't be home till six so I'll leave a note for her. I make a mental note to call her once she gets off.
