You Deserve

Chapter 14

"These pancakes are too good" I say while chewing on my blueberry pancakes.

"Let me get some?" August ask. I cut a piece of then feed it too him. He gestures for me to give him some more.

"I'm take some back to V's place with me cause y'all act like y'all can't cook" I say.

"Baby why you don't cook for us ?" August ask laughing.

"Ain't no body got time for that baby" I laugh.

"Baby today we going to be gone for a little while hopefully everything plays out smoothly then well be all set" August says.

"Please be careful while you're out there" I say looking at him.

He reaches for my hand then kiss the back of my hand. "I will baby don't worry about anything, once all this shit is solved we can worry about us" He says.

"I hope so baby.".

He gets up and joint em on my side of the table. I lay my head on his shoulder. Tonight is going to mind rattling this shit could take a while.

"We going to be good baby girl, come on let's get you back to V's place" He says putting the money on the table.

"What if V is wrong ? Like the people who they saying did it isn't really him.".

August kisses my forehead, holding me tight he whispers I love you. "I do too baby you know I do" I say. Walking back to the car August opens my door for me and waits patiently waits for me to get in then close it.

Getting back to V's place my heart drops as we see all the guns on the floor. The black attire waiting for August on the couch. August looks at me then kisses my cheek. "Here baby this is for you...when we on our way back I'm going to call you." He says handing me a gun.

The only reason I'm not freaking out at this point is because August took me to the shooting range. The first time shooting was a bit scary.

"I got it baby please come back safe" I say holding his face in my hands. He kisses the inside of my hand and smile at me.

"You got it beautiful" He says.

Once they get suited up and load their car. August kisses my lips once more. A tear rolls down my face as they leave.

My phone rings and it's Tika calling me.

"Tika!" I yell through the phone.

"Oh my godness where the fuck did August take you! Indyah what the fuck is going on?" She ask.

"I promise sis I'll explain it once I get back home hopefully tonight it'll be all over and I'll be back home in the morning" I say.

"Are you okay ?" She ask sounding concerned.

"I'm good Tika, will you let Mandi know that I'm good too it wasn't my intention not to call you guys but I had to keep under the radar" I say.

"Where's August?" She ask.

"Huh, he's out with a friend right now....".

"Hmm well I'll call you later Indyah I have to go back to work.. love you little sis".

"I love you too sis" I say smiling.

Walking around the house I look around at the art work he has. I decide on making them a meal they'll need it once they come back. Looking through the fridge there's nothing. I pace back and forth if I should go to the grocery store real quick or stay in the house like instructed.

I grab my purse,some cash from August suitcase and the gun he gave me. I make sure to grab the house key and set the alarm system. Locking the gate behind me I begin walking a few blocks then dial a cab to come get me. Patiently waiting for the cab I start thinking over a few dishes to cook.
