Chapter 13

"Yo What's good V? " August says sapping up this guy. He has these long ass dreads and mean looking face; is never mess with him.

"Young Aug! What's up man this your lady?" He ask smiling at me.

"Yeah this my girl, Indyah this a long time friend V" August says.

"Nice too meet you" I say smiling.

"Pretty girl, come on in" He says opening up the door. "How can I help Aug?".

"Somebody ran up in on of my traps killed a few of my men... I took the food and left" August says.

"Hmm I look into that for you... once I know what's up I'll make a few calls see how we can settle whatever beef this fool got" V says.

"Yo I appreciate that man, can we crash up here for a few days ?" August ask.

"Of course you family man I ain't even have to ask" He says.

V shows us to one of his guest rooms then leaves us once he gets a call. Laying in the bed I just stare up at the ceiling. My mind is racing; I don't know if I can just wait for August to get out this life. My life is in danger being with him but I love him so much.

"What you thinkin' about?" August ask laying next to me.

"Thinking about us, this life".

"Baby I'm sorry this she played out like this... I'm going to fix it" He says kissing my forehead.

I know I should have some faith in him but this is crazy. I text my sister letting her know everything that played out and letting her know my location.

"I love you Indyah" He says holding my hand.

"I love you too August" I say smiling.

"You told Tika about the move yet? " He ask.

"No I haven't yet, I'm just waiting for the right time you know she's all I got" I say.

"Maybe after a couple months of us settling down she can move up there with us" August says playing with my hair.

It feels so good when he runs his hands gently through my hair. "Love when you do this" I say laughing.

"I know yo ass be slowly falling asleep" He says laughing.

"Whatever boy" I say moving closer up under him. So many thing I've grew attached too with being around August. I love when he wakes up before me and kinda just stares at me some may say it's awkward but I call it admiring; it is for a long period of time just a few minutes then he kisses my forehead.

"I know you young baby and we ain't ready yet but just asking , how many kids you want?".

"Hmm maybe two a boy and a girl hopefully they twins" I say.

"Agreed I don't mind then not being twins... they going to look like their beautiful mother" He says.

"Id hope that our son is handsome like his daddy, he's going to be a little kindergarten player" I say laughing.

"Sharing all his crayons with the ladies" August says.

"I'm going to get some shut eye" I say laying my head on his chest.

"Hold on baby go head I'll be back im gonna go downstairs and talk to V real quick about a few things" He says getting out the bed.

"Don't take too long baby" I say.

"I won't baby" He walks back to the bed and give me a kiss.

I lay on my stomach rest my head in my arm. The thoughts of little us running around comes up again and it warms my heart. I can't wait to have kids I'll treat them so well and love them so much.

Rolling around in bed my attempt of sleeping has failed. I walk out of bed and head downstairs for a glass of water. I hear August and V whispering.

My first instinct was to keep walking but something in me is telling me to listen. Getting close to the door I put my ear against it.

"I been making some calls I heard it was the Pedro who put that hit out on y'all turf" V says.

"That little nigga really trying to impress his boss he fucking with the wrong one! I'll have to pay him a visit" August says.

"Nah, ill set up a meeting with Luis and we solve all this shit" V says.

"He lucky they at take my shit! Why try to bite that hand that feeds you... I need to take that heat off my damn back".

"You know I'm here to help man..... what's this I hear about you leaving the game?".

"I got to let this shit go for my girl, she mean a lot to me and this shit too dangerous... but I got unfinish business to handle first then I'm out" August says.

"Who under you?" V ask.

"Nobody but you know I work under that nigga Cas he got this shit".

"Think its that easy?" V ask.

"I'm stacking my money and leaving this shit ain't for me anymore" August says.

"I feel you on that... I'll help you out shorty seem like she down for you" V says.

"I got lucky with Indyah man... she ain't like these other females I fucked with" August says sounding proud.

"I can see that, you smashed?" V ask.

"Lets not go there man we cool and all but chill on that" August says sounding uncomfortable.

They room gets quiet , I get up from my spot and scurry down the stairs to the kitchen. Picking up a cup I rinse it out then grab some water.

"Couldn't sleep lil mama?" August ask walking up to me.

"Not really after you left I was just tossing and turning... maybe I can fall asleep now that you're done talking" I say.

"Come on" He says taking my hand.

"Goodnight V!" I yell out. "Night Indyah!".

"It's real nice of him to open his home to you" I say.

"We go we back".

"That's real cool... can we go get some breakfast tomorrow ?" I ask.

"Yeah where you want to go?" He ask.

"Mm.... IHOP " I say smiling.

"Such a simple girl" He says laughing.

"I know I know but that's what I'm craving" I say laughing.

August runs his hands through my hair. He places a kiss on my forehead causing me to smile. "Goodnight baby" He says.

"Goodnight babe" I say kissing his juicy lips.
