I twirl my fork against my spoon, taming the saucy noodles (lol). I look up, Mason picking at his alfredo frettucine. I stuff the pasta in my mouth, chewing happily, before silently putting my fork and spoon down. Ripping some of my napkin, I ball up the small paper and throw it at Mason's face. I quickly pick up my fork and spoon pretending to not know anything. I hear a soft tear, I dodge the oncoming ball of napkin. I hum happily and proudly, Mason glares dipping his finger tips into his water. I squeal feeling the cold water against my face.
"Your are an expensive dinner date," Mason laughs running out of the resturant, I follow closely behind.
"It's not my fault you had to pay for the broken plates," I chuckle looking back at the resturant, we got kicked out after we started throwing food at each other, which ended up knocking some of the glasses and my plate onto the floor. The managment made Mason pay for it, and kicked us out for the rest of our lifetimes.
"You started it!" Mason glared jokingly slowing to a walk.
"Well your face looked so much like a target, I thought it was." I laughed loudly in triumph taking a step away from him as he tried putting me in a headlock.
"You're horrible." Mason rolls his eyes, I let out a snort.
Mason walks me back to my house, leaving me at my driveway. I wave a goodbye to him and thank him for the dinner before walking up to the door. Looking around at the house, most of the lights were out. Furrowing my brow, I put my key into the lock and open the door, looking around. The place was completly trashed, the couches and chairs turned over on their sides, cushions scattering the floor. The tv pushed back into the wall, papers and every loose item littered the floor as well. The vases and pictures on the walls and tables were shattered. Some of the dry wall was punched in. I race into the kitchen, the fridge open with everything inside on the tile floor. The kitchen table was on its side against the counter along with the chairs. Some plates and cups were scattered on the floor, since most of them were glass the shards went into my flip flops. I step out of the kitchen, taking of my flip flops and timidly walk up the stairs.
Was Mrs. Stevens alright? Was Mr. Stevens alright? What about little brother, what if they hurt him!? Whoever did this, why? The upstairs was much neater, looking as if whoever did this didn't even come up the stairs. Mr. and Mrs. Stevens door was open, I slowly walk towards it, my nose raised into the air. I press my back against the wall, sliding against it to the bedroom. I slowly look around the edge of the doorframe. Shean? I walk into the room seeing Mark, Mr. and Mrs. Stevens on their bed with Shean sitting in the desk chair. What had happened? Why is Shean here. I look over all of them, seeing no scratches or bruises on them. Mrs. Stevens say me and quickly ran to hug me, rambling questions out of her mouth that I didn't understand. I look over at Shean, he stood and walked over to us, putting a hand on my shoulder. He had a stern look, and tense, his whole body was tense.
"Where have you been?" He asked, there was power in his words, Alpha power, it made me cringe.
"I was out with a new neighbor. He got me dinner because I helped him move some of his stuff into his house," I replied softly, not daring to look into his eyes. Mrs. Stevens let me go, moving back to her husband, I could smell the fear on her.
"You cannot trust anyone! What if that 'new neighbor' had hurt you!? Or even worse, killed you! You need to at least tell your parents where you are! Don't you have a cell phone!? They couldn't contact you at all and were worried sick! They came home to a house like this and their daughter was missing!" Shean yelled his grip tightening on my shoulder. I cowered, tears coming to my eyes.
"I-I'm sorry.." I managed to choke out, tears running down my face. At this, Shean's face softened a little and he sighed, taking his hand off my shoulder.
"I didn't mean to frighten nor get mad at you. I was just worried that something horrible happened becasue of what happened to your house." I nodded slightly, pulling down my jacket sleeve to wipe some of the tears from my face.
"Who's the new neighbor?" Mr. Stevens asked, I turned my attention towards him.
"His name is Mason, he lives a few blocks from here at 4019 with his sister's daughter." Mr. Steven nodded.
"We can go over tomorrow and greet him together, as a family." I nodded slightly, wanting now to go back to my room.
"I'll come with, I want to see who this Mason is," Shean said turning towards them. "I will take my leave now, I'm sorry what happened to your house but I'm glad you're alright. Bella, may I speak to you a minute before I leave?" I nodded again watching him walk out of the room before following after him. Once we were towards my room he stopped and turned to face me. "You need to be more careful around strangers and you must keep in contact with SOMEONE at all times. Now that we know Levi is here, he could attack you at any time, do you understand." In nod for the third time, he glares, "Speak child."
"Yes!" I squeak out, taking a step back and lowering my head.
"Bella, you are not part of the pack but I still consider you my child, do you understand? I don't want anything to happen to you and as long as Jacob is still bedridden, can you please not go off with random strangers?" Shean puts his hand on my head, patting it softly.
"Okay, I'm sorry..." He pulls me forward and hugs me.
"It's alright just promise you'll be careful."
"I will, I know how to scream and run. I also punched Caleb in the nose once. Even in wolf form he flew back a few inches." I felt Shean chuckle.
"Alright, goodnight Bella." He kisses me on the forehead and descends down the steps. I smile after him.
The next day, Mrs. Stevens woke me up early. Shean and Mr. Stevens weren't kidding when they said they wanted to meet Mason. This would just get awkward fast, I could see it now. Hey, I was the girl who helped you move yesterday, meet my family and Alpha of the werewolf pack that lives in the woods. Oh yeah, that'll end smoothly, not. I take a quick shower, putting my hair in a side braid, and slip on some skinny jeans. I search through my shirts, slowly picking them up one by one. As I lift up one of my blue band shirts, a small piece of yellowish paper falls out. Confused, I pick up the paper turning it over. I screamed dropping the small paper.
I'M WATCHING YOU, SEE YOU SOON BELLA
That's all it said, in big red letters, which I assumed was blood because I could smell the iron. I heard footsteps racing towards my door, quickly hiding the letter I think of an excuse. Coming out with, 'I saw a spider' sounded believable enough. Mr. Stevens believed me and brushed it off as nothing while Mrs. Stevens started ranting about how they should get the house fumigated. After they leave, I pick up the paper and walk over to my desk. Putting it under the light on the top of my desk, a small signature appeared at the bottom of the paper. Bagarreur Rogue Loup, in neat cursive letters. It has to be a different language...I start thinking of all the languages it could be. Italian, maybe French. Shaking my head, I put the card into one of my drawers under some notebooks before going back and finding a shirt to wear.
I'm watching you.

I'M SO SORRY THAT IT TOOK ME FOREVER TO POST THIS CHAPTER! PLEASE FORGIVE ME! My school desides to keep blocking then unblocking, blocking, then unblocking. It's very annoying. I swear I won't take this long to post the next chapter. I had a semi road block along with the blocking so it was hard to write this. So please forgive me! But I hope you liked this chapter, and again sorry for taking so long. Loves <3
