2 Years and 8 Months Before the Accident

I got up as carefully and slowly as I could. I didn't want to wake Luke up when he had the day off.

I lifted Luke's arm from around my waist and sat up as slow as humanly possible. He grumbled and rolled over but didn't wake up.

I had to get up and dressed, being careful to watch the clock. My day had to start too early unfortunately, I had a lot of errands to run.

I sighed softly and went to get up when two arms wrapped around my waist again.

"You're warm. S'great for cuddling." Luke said in his scratchy morning voice, pulling me back down. I laughed lightly and turned over so I was facing him. He had his eyes closed but he was smiling.

"I have to go meet Calum and help him get ready for some thing to do with Michael. I wasn't listening but it sounded important." Luke laughed, holding me tighter as he buried his face in the crook of my neck.

"Don't go." He grumbled and I couldn't help but smile down at him. When he finally looked up at me, I leaned down to peck him quickly on the lips.

"I promised I would though, and I can't break a promise."

"I don't care about Calum's crush on Michael, stay with me." I shook my head lightly at him and he pouted.

"I can't stay, I have to go. He was gonna drop me off at my mums after. I haven't seen her since she came back from her honeymoon." Luke's pout only deepened.

"You're using him for a ride? Use me for a ride." He whined.

"I do. Constantly." I winked and went to get up as I giggled but he only pulled me back. I could see his smirk and couldn't help but laugh harder.

"You're a naughty boy Irwin." He whispered in my ear, making me squirm and giggle some more.

He kissed up and down my neck, his fingers gripping the front of my shirt. I tilted my head back, my breathing accelerating.

"I-I-I have to go." I muttered breathlessly as he kissed behind my ear.

"Then go ahead." Luke murmured, continuing to kiss down my neck and collarbone.

"Maybe-maybe I can be a few minutes late." I whispered and turned around to kiss Luke properly.

"Or maybe not go at all." Luke said against my lips.

"Yeah." I finally gave in and felt him smile as he pulled me onto him.

"Good." He muttered as he started to pepper my face with kisses.

Let's just say I didn't end up making it to Calum's on time that day and I had an angry friend to deal with when he found out why I was late.

But hey, Luke drives a hard bargain.
