Capitolo 6

Camila's Pov

Passammo tutto il giorno in piscina, nella parte in cui toccavo, a schizzarci o a discutere un po'. Dopo decisi di salire in stanza per cambiarmi, stasera c'era una specie di serata di gala, a cui partecipavano tutti.

Mi lavai, presi il vestito più elegante che avevo messo in quella valigia, per caso, e lo indossai.

Dinah fece lo stesso, dopodiché scendemmo sotto. Non mangiai tanto, non so perché. La musica era rilassante e mi stavo divertendo, fino a quando...

Fino a quando il mio sguardo non si scontrò con due occhi verde acceso. Mi stava fissando e io facevo lo stesso. Dopo un po' si girò e continuò a parlare con la ragazza dalla carnagione scura di stamattina e con un'altra ragazza, un po' più bassa.

Continuai a fissarla per tutta la serata, non riuscivo a distogliere lo sguardo dal suo corpo così perfetto, e che sedere, mamma mia. No Camila, no. Non lo hai pensato sul serio, stai solo scherzando.

Credo che Dinah si accorse del fatto che non riuscissi a non fissarla, così si allontanò da me e si avvicinò a quello che doveva essere il DJ, che, in realtà, serviva a poco, essendo una serata di gala. Sussurrò qualcosa al suo orecchio e, dopodiché si avvicinò a me, mi prese dal braccio e mi trascinò fino al DJ, che ci diede due microfoni. Io non so cosa dovevamo fare esattamente, né perché avesse fatto tutto ciò. So soltanto che partì la base di una delle nostre canzoni preferite.

"Devo cantare sul serio?" le chiesi sussurrando.

"Sì." mi rispose.

Io non volevo, ero una ragazza molto timida e la mia voce non è delle migliori. Fui quasi obbligata e quando cominciammo, diventai rossa, le mie guance stavano letteralmente andando a fuoco e lei, lei mi fissava.
