Rebecca's POV
I woke up with strong arms wrapped around me. I opened my eyes to see Josh's sleeping face. Yesterday I almost died. And instead of thinking of my family, I thought of Josh. I poked his nose. He wrinkled his nose slightly at me, keeping his eyes closed. I leaned in closer and pressed my lips to his cheek. "Wake up."
"No," Josh murmured. "I want to sleep." I tangled my fingers through his short hair.
"Sleep another time. I want to go get breakfast." He slowly opened his vibrant eyes. "Good morning."
"Good night." He threw the blanket over himself and turned to the side. I went under the blanket with him and leaned on top of him.
"Wake up," I whined. "I want pancakes."
"Go buy pancakes."
"I want to make pancakes."
"What's stopping you?"
"You still being asleep." He sighed and removed the blanket. I shivered at the sudden cold air. Josh leaned over and wrapped his strong arms around me again. "Come on." He glared at me slightly.
"Despite your cuteness, you can be very persistent at an early hour of the day." He pressed me tighter against his body. "So you and I..."
"I said you're my boyfriend. You can't say no." He chuckled at me. I placed my chin on his chest and looked at him. He curled a lock of my hair through his finger.
"Since I already met your parents, do I have to do it again?" I grinned at him.
"No, not unless you want to." He thought about it before shaking his head. "Come on; I want pancakes." He reached over and flicked my forehead. I scoffed and sat up on him. "That was not nice, Joshua." Josh hugged me again and pinned me down on the bed.
"I want to sleep," he told me. He touched his forehead with mine.
"You can sleep when I get my pancakes." He gave a defeating sigh.
"You have to make me coffee." I nodded. He collapsed on me and curled back to sleep.
"Josh!" I exclaimed while repeatedly smacking his back. He lifted me up and threw me over his shoulder. "I have no pants on. My legs are cold." He switched the positioning he had me in, so he was now holding me in his arms.
"Pancakes, pancakes, pancakes."
"Pancakes!" I shouted with a grin. He placed me down at one of the barstools near my counter. "Let's make some pancakes."
"It's like the middle of the night," he sighed while taking out the ingredients. I hopped off the barstool.
"It is 9 in the morning," I corrected. I leaned over and pecked his cheek. "I'm going to change."
"No, you're not," Josh called out and wrapped his arm around my waist to prevent me from going anywhere.
"My legs are cold. This was meant to be worn to be looked at, not to keep me warm." He gave me a kiss on the cheek.
"I am looking at you," he stated with a grin. I rolled my eyes.
"I am going to change." He twisted be around in his arms and planted a warm kiss on my lips. I smiled at him before walking to my room. I was taking off my sleepwear when I heard a phone ring. "Josh, Chris is calling you! I'm going to answer!" I placed the phone in my ear as I looked for clothes to wear. "Josh's phone."
"Oh, Rebecca," Chris answered, sounding a bit startled. "Is Josh there?"
"He is making me pancakes," I responded with a grin. "I'm sorry, let me pass him to you."
