Irresistible Love

Chapter 1

Britney's POV - 

Hi, I'm Britney. I'm currently in the passenger seat of my mom's car, who is driving me to my new high school, Howard High. Howard High is a special school for gifted students. I have gifts that include mind-linking, invisibility, mind-reading and teleporting.  I just found out about them. My mom was freaking out when she first found out that I have these gifts, but eventually she got over it and now she is actually helping me cope with all of this. She did some research and found out that Howard High is a high school that helps you control these kind of gifts. So that's how I ended up going to this high school. I was brought back to reality when my mom spoke.

"Honey, are you listening?" My mom asked.

"What, I'm sorry I just zoned out a bit, what did you say?" I asked.

"It's fine, I just wanted to make sure that you had everything you need. Did you double check?" My mom asked.

"Yeah, I made sure that I had everything I needed." I replied.

"Okay good, I wanted to ask you something else too." My mom said.

"Yeah, sure you can ask me anything." I said.

"I just wanted to know if you were okay with all this, moving to a new High School, away from home. I'm just scared, becaues you've never lived this far away from me and now your going to be living in a boarding school for gifted people." My mom finally said after a long silence.

"It's fine mom, I know that its a big change, but I'm looking forward to it. I want to know what people like me do because we're not like any normal humans. I want to know more about my powers and I want to be able to control it." I said.

"Okay, I just hope you're sure about this." My mom said.

"Yeah I'm sure, you don't need to worry about me mom, I'll be fine." I said.

I'm actually really nervous, but I'm also looking forward for this. I've always felt that I'm out of place like I belonged somewhere else. I have a feeling that Howard High is going to be just what I'm looking for. But I also have a feeling something evil is in Howard High waiting for me.

Stop it Britney you're over thinking it again. I thought to myself.

I fell aspleep thinking about Howard High.

 I woke up to my mom's voice.

"Wake up Britney, we're here." My mom said.

"I'm up." I said.

I look through the window to see how my new high school looked like. 

It was huge! It was breath taking. It was 3 stories tall and it was very wide.

"Wow, how am I going to find my classes?" I mumbled to myself.

"Let's go sweetheart, I already made sure that all your bags were delivered to your room." My mom said.

"Yeah, lets go." I said, still shocked to see how big Howard High was.

My mom and I made our way to the front office. We were currently in the principle's office waiting for the principal to come. Finally the principal came in. It was a women who looked like she was in her early 40s. But was very pretty.

"Hello, good afternoon. I'm Mrs. Jensen, your new principal. You must be Britney." Mrs. Jensen said.

She seemed like a very kind person. My mom answered her.

"Good afternoon Mrs. Jensen, and yes this is my daughter Britney." Said my mom, while introducing me to the principal.

"Hi." I said quietly to the principal.

"Hi! In Howard High you are going to learn to control your abilities and use them for a good cause." Mrs. Jensen said.

Does she have powers too. I thought to myself.

"Yeah, I do have powers, I just read your mind." Said Mrs. Jensen.

"Oh okay." I said.

"Do you know where your room is?" Mrs. Jensen asked. 

"Yeah its room 342." I replied.

"Oh okay, go straight and then turn right, and you'll see your room. You can go and unpack." Mrs. Jensen said.

"Okay." I said.

I hugged my mom a goodbye, and then I went out of the office to find my room. I was walking straight down the hall to my room when I suddenly crashed into a huge wall. I realized it wasn't a wall, it was a chest when a pair of arms wrapped around my waist to keep me from falling.
