Chapter 9

Recap -

"When are your birthdays." Mrs. Jensen, finally asked after a long silence.

"August 2nd 1997." I said.

"August 6th 1997." Elena said.

"August 3rd 1997." Ryan said.

"August 5th 1997." Cynthia said.

"August 4th 1997." Jordan said.

August 1st 1997." Nathan said.

"Oh my god." I said in shock. I just realized when Elena, Ryan, Cynthia, Jordan, and Nathan's birthday was. It was all side by side in the same week. As if the others had just realized, they had shocked looked on their faces. But Mrs. Jensen looked like she was expecting this.

"If, this is when your bithdays are then I'm afraid that my theory has been true." Mrs. Jensen said.

Mrs. Jensen had a horrified expression, just like the rest of us.

"What's the theory." All of us asked at the same time.

Britney's POV -

"Whats the theory?" All of us asked at the same time.

"Well, in 1976 the six teens were bound together by a prophecy. They defeated the bad guy, Joshua. They defeated Joshua in 1977, but then in 1985 they died, in a car accident. So when they died the spell that held Joshua captive broke, so now he is free. Joshua is a witch, and he is 1075 years old. He has somehow stopped his age with a spell." Mrs. Jensen explained.

We were all silent for 10 minutes straight when I finally decided to ask the question, everybody wanted to ask.

"What's the Prophey?" I asked, after gaining courage.

"The prophecy, is basically that Joshua needs the blood of all six of you, and when he gets the blood he has to perform a spell which will cause the blood to become a potion he can take." Mrs. Jensen answered.

"So what if we just give some blood to Joshua?" Cynthia asked.

"No he needs blood till the point all of you die." Mrs. Jensen said.

All of us shivered when she said that.

"But why does he need our blood, what will our blood do to him?" I asked.

"Well, once he makes the potion from your blood and drinks it then he will become indestructible, immortal, and he will reach his true potential. When he reaches his true potential, he wants to use his power to take over the world basically." Mrs. Jensen said.

By now all of us felt so scared. 

"So what do we have to do?" Nathan asked.

"Well, just putting a spell on Joshua won't work so I guess we have to kill him, but killing a 1075 year old witch, isn't exactly easy." Mrs. Jensen replied.

"Okay so how do we kill Joshua?" Ryan asked.

"I'm afraid I don't know but we have until August 1st, to think of something, and that means we still have 9 months left, and in these 9 months we will train you. We will train you to use your powers." Mrs. Jensen said.

"So does that mean that Joshua will leave us alone for 9 months?" Elena asked with hope in her eyes.

"I'm afraid not, Joshua Webb applied for this high school, and the administration has granted him." Mrs. Jensen said.

"Mum! Can't you do something?" Nathan asked.

"I'm sorry no, it's the administration's decision." Mrs. Jensen said sorrowfully.

"But how old is he, and why is he in high school, isn't he 1075 years old?" Cynthia asked for the first time.

"Yes, but remember, I said that Joshua has somehow put a spell on his age, so he has been 18 for 1057 years." Mrs. Jensen said.

"Oh, so when is he joining?" Jordan asked.

"In two weeks." Mrs. Jensen said swallowing a lump in her throat.

"And I don't know how to say this, but he requested that all his classes are with Britney Harper, and the administration agreed." Mrs. Jensen said.

"What!" I screamed.

"Why!" Nathan and the others said at the same time.

"I don't know." Mrs. Jensen said truthfully.

"Oh, and Joshua has a spy here in Howard who is keeping an eye on all six of you." Mrs. Jensen said.

"Who is it?" Everyone but me asked. 

I had a feeling I knew who it was.

"I don't know who it is." Mrs. Jensen said.

"It's Damon." I said, quietly.

All heads turned to me. 

"It's Damon." I said a little bit louder, because I was sure it was him.

"You mean Damon Argent, my friend." Elena said not believing me.

"Yes, trust me I know it's him." I said pleadingly.

"No, he is my best friend. And I can't believe you would blame him for doing something so low as spying on us." Elena said in accusingly tone.

"Ya Britney, I don't think it's Damon, he is very nice." Jordan said, but in a much nicer tone then Elena.

"Ya, I think Britney, you got it wrong. It can't be Damon. Ryan said.

"Ya it can't be Damon." Cynthia said.

"I don't think its Damon either Britney, he is a very bright student.

With that, Mrs. Jensen and everyone but Nathan left. Nathan stayed. I don't know why but I still think that Damon is the spy.

"I still think it's Damon." I said to Nathan.

Nathan surprised me with his reply.

"Me too." Nathan said
