--Chief's POV-- (A/N didn't expect that one did ja?)

I sat down one of the coffee shop tables with my head down. I had my hat on and normal clothes. I wasn't wearing my uniform. To be honest I always thought it was a little too flashy for me. A waitress walked up to me.

"Hello sir! My name is Sandra and welcome to smol bean coffee shop! Would you like anything to drink?"
I coughed lightly into my arm.
"Yes, I'll have a sweet tea."
She jotted it down onto her notepad. "Okay! Your drink will be out shortly."

She walked away. I heard the door make a little tingly noise. I turned my head and saw Mark, with a few pieces of folded paper in his hands. He was looking around. I raised my hand slightly as he glanced in my direction. He saw me and started to walk over to my table. Table 15 to be specific.

"Hey chief!" Mark said as he sat down. "I wanted to speak with you about the case. I found something."

The waitress came to our table and handed me my drink.

"Would you like anything to drink sir?" She looked over to Mark.
"Um. Sure, I'll have a coffee, no sweetener." Mark said quietly.
"Okay! Your drink will be out shortly." She walked away smiling.

"So. You had something to tell me about the Septiceye case?"
I said with a hint of curiosity in my rough voice.

"Sure do chief!" Mark said happily. "Take a look at these notes." Mark handed me three notes, which I opened. All they said was jiberish letters.

"Okay?" I said a little confused.
"We couldn't de-code the writing because it wasn't technically a language. The notes are all written out in a code language called Ceaser Cipher." Mark said happily.

"What did the notes say?" I asked. "Well, the first one sai-" Mark was cut off by the sound of a stack of plates shattering. We both turned around and saw a man, around the age of 26, frantically picking up the shattered plates.

Mark got up and helped the man clean up the mess. The man had green hair, tossed to the side in a style like Mark's. He appeared to be an employee as well. 10 Minutes later, the mess was cleaned up, Mark had his drink, and I was being introduced to the green haired man.

"Hello sir! I'm Jack." The man said cheerfully.
"Nice to meet you Jack. I'm Sam. But call me chief." I said. Jack stuck out his hand for me to shake.
"Nice to meet you chief!" Jack said chirpilly.
"Well, I have to get back to my shift, see you later?" I nodded my head to him.
"Sure thing Jack." He left.

Mark and I got back to talking about the case and Mark was blushing ever so slightly. Wonder why? Must've been Jack.

"So, as I was saying," Mark said.
"The notes are written down in Ceaser Cipher.
The first note says,
How's it going Mark?
The second one says,
This is gonna be fun.
The third one says,
Hello Mark. Glad to see you've been de-coding my messages. Suspicious? Probably. You will find out soon. Until then.
And the last one I brought to you says, Isn't this fun?

"Interesting.." I said, pondering what to do next.
"What I was planning on doing chief," Mark said a little to quickly.
"Is I can write him a note in Ceaser Cipher, and leave it on the crime scene, and he might answer back the next time he robs a place."

I questioned that thought in my head.
"That could work.Wanna try it?" I said. Mark's face lit up a little.
"Uh, s-sure! Let's wait for his next robbery and place the note then."

I took a sip of my tea.
"Sounds good. Keep me updated Mark." We got up from the table, with my tea in my hands, and Mark's coffee and notes in his hands.
"Sure thing chief!" We walked out the door and went our SEPERATE WAYS.
(A/N love that song XD)
