--Mallori's POV--
Saturday 10:27 A.M.

I walked along the sidewalk of the park,  desperately trying to find Jack. I sat down on an old bench, taking a break to spare my aching feet. We were supposed to meet almost thirty minutes ago and I could not find him to save my life.

"Where could he be?" Someone sat down next to me, nearly giving me a heart attack. I jumped slightly, and heard a laugh come from the person next to me. I turned my head and saw it was Jack.

"Jack!" I pushed him playfully.
"You nearly killed me!" Jack was laughing even more now and I was flustered.
"Dude seriously! Stop I'm embarrassed now!" He tried to stifle his laughs but it just made him laugh even more. The park was quite empty, but we got a few stares from the people who were there.

10 Minutes Later

Jack was finally able to calm down enough to say actual words without bursting into laughter again.
"Okay- okay- I'm- good-now-" Jack said tiredly inbetween breaths.
"You literally laughed for almost ten minutes straight. How is your stomach not dying??" Jack sat up a little straighter, and said,

"Mallori, there's something I need to tell you. Promise not to tell ANYONE. Even Mark.
"I- Wait, how do you know I know Mark?" I said a little confused.
"I- uh, saw you two at jewelry store crime scene. I was driving home and noticed you both talking to eachother. I know Mark from working at the coffee shop. I dropped some plates accidentally and he helped me pick up the mess and we talked for a little bit and now I know him."
Jack said a little nervously. I raised my eye in suspicion but shrugged it off.

"Ok, so what I was going to tell you was that I-" I cut Jack off when I saw Mark himself.
"Hey Mark!" I waved my hand and he saw me. Mark started to walk over to us with a smile on his face.
"Sup Mallori! I was jus- Oh, Who's this?" Jack turned around and said, "Hey Mark!" Mark blushed.
"Hi Jack! Mallori, I didn't know you knew Jack!" Mark said enthusiastically. "I smiled.

"Sure do!" We ran into eachother at the library, started talking about fandoms, and just caught on from there! We usually meet at the park every Saturday. Say, what're you doing out here Mark?"
"Well, I just wanted to take a walk. I've been stressing over the Septiceye case. Jack flinched at the mention of his nick-name.

"Jack you ok?" Mark asked. Jack blushed slightly.
"Ya I- I'm fine. It's just the name gives me the heebee jeebees. I smiled. This was my chance!
"Well, fear of a name increases fear of the thing itself." I said happily. Jack giggled.

"Really Mal? A Harry Potter quote?" Jack lightly punched my shoulder, but he was smiling none the less. I started laughing.
"I can't help it! Magic is in my blood!" Mark rolled his eyes.

"Ok guys settle down. Mallori, there's actually something I need to talk to you about. It's important." I managed to calm down.
"Oh really? What is it?" Mark sighed.
"I need to tell you in private." I stood up.
"Okay.. I guess I have to go Jack. Same time same place?" Jack stood up and smiled.

"Sure thing bookworm!" He walked off with a smile on his face, not knowing what's next to come.
"So.. Mark. What did you need to tell me that was so important?" I asked with curiosity lingering in my voice. "Well, I'd like to know if you'd want to go see a movie with me and Karina sometime. We've been talking about it, and we agreed we should all get to know eachother better. We planned the movie for Friday. Would you like to come?"

I questioned that in my head.
"What movie would we be seeing?" I asked.
"Suicide Squad." I nearly passed out. "Woah! Mallori are you ok?" Concern was laced in Mark's voice.
"YES I'M FINE BUT WE ARE SEEING SUICIDE SQUAD??!! I WOULD BASICALLY DIE TO SEE THAT MOVIE!!! SURE I'LL GO!!" Mark covered his ears while Mallori screamed, jumped, and did all things fangirl, scaring away the remaining people at the park.

"Ok, my eardrums are now showing no sense of working right now." Mark said a little to loudly.
"Ok- Ok- Ok- I- Am- Just- So- EXCITED!!!" Mallori started squealing and jumping around again.
"Okay okay! We get it! Your very very excited to see this movie."

Director jumps into scene

"Um, hello! Mark! Your supposed to say I, not We. Please don't break the fourth wall again!"

Director leaves scene

"What the fudge was that?" I said.
"Oh, nothing. Just the director of this fanfic correcting my line so I don't break the fourth wall."
"Okay.....Wanna get lunch Mark? There's a pizza parlor down the street."
Mark thought about that.

"Sorry Mallori. I would like to, but I have to keep working on this case. Speaking of which." Mark pulled his phone from his pocket, and I saw it was buzzing. He answered the call,
"Hello?" There was a pause.
"Really? Ok! I'll be right over." Mark hung up and stuffed his phone in his pocket.

"Sorry Mal, I got to go. The station called in and Septiceye just made another heist. I need to check the scene out, and see if there are any clues to his identity." He ruffled my hair.
"See you soon!" He walked off. I sighed with content, and walked home.
