>•< Mallori's POV >•<

"Ready as I'll ever be. Let's get this over with."
Anti's guards were coming at us, quick and fast. 6 went for Mark and 9 went for me. Expected, with my luck. And the rest just ya know.. stood around, ready to come in when we defeat the others like it happens in the movies.
The guards surrounded me.

Apparently they had no weapons. I guess my luck had turned around. 2 of them advanced on me. One on my left, and one in front of me. I swiftly side kicked the one on my left and punched the one in front of me in the eye.

Apparently it's not as easy as it's shown in the movies because they both got up. I had 3 guards come after me.
"Mark! Let's go!"
I ran outside of the house. I looked behind me, and Mark punched one of the guards, and started to follow me. We ran down the sidewalk, our feet echoing against the emptiness or the area. The buildings passed by us in a blur. One of the guards caught up to us and grabbed marks arm. Mark yanked his arm free, and punched the guard, who abruptly tripped and fell. We kept running, the guards all right on our tails.

Mark ran slightly ahead of me and turned down an alleyway.
"Over here!"
We ran in between the thin alleyway, which was shaded with shadows and graffiti. The guards shouting was drawing nearer with every step. We reached an open area in the alleyway, and were cornered. The guards surrounded Mark and I.

I had one of them behind me, one on my right, and one on my left. One of the guards had a bloodshot eye, which I assumed was from my previous punch to his face.. I threw my elbows out to my side, knocking the guards on my sides unconscious. I gave the guard in front of me a front kick, but he grabbed my foot. He twisted it so I ended up with my back facing him. I did a black widow and jumped from my supporting foot and twisted my body around. Basically floating, I side kicked the guard in the head, knocking him out, and earning him a boot shaped bruise on his cheek.

I gracefully fell to my feet..... then rolled my ankle and collapsed. I looked over and saw Mark fighting a few guys of his own. He punched one in the face and ducked, dodging a guard from behind him. He turned around, and uppercutted the guard in the jaw. Blood spat out of his mouth. The guard that Mark was previously fighting grabbed Mark by the shoulders and tossed him to the ground, and started choking him.

I abruptly stood up to help Mark and a bullet went right through my shoulder. Lucky me. I fell as soon as I got up, and was pushed onto my back. I had a gun trained on my head.

"Mallori!"
I turned my head and saw Mark staring at me with both fear and rage. I guess you could've considered me a distraction for Mark because the guards saw this as their opportunity. Mark had stopped fighting to look at me. One of them grabbed a nearby baseball bat and knocked him out. I felt my blood pouring from my shoulder absorb into my hair.

"No!"
I tried to get up, but I was pushed down. Pressure was put on my shoulder and I felt a searing pain. I screamed. Imagine eating 15 ghost peppers and then someone shoves hot sauce in your mouth instead of milk. Imagine getting paper cuts all over your body, then jumping into a pool of lemon juice, then rolling in salt. Imagine getting stabbed by a bunny rabbit and then the bunny starts to eat the wound.

It felt like that, but times it by 38. I instantly laid back down, my neck and forehead beading with sweat. I was still staring at Mark, who was being dragged to, and into the van, which just pulled up nearby. I look back at the man who had the gun trained on me and my world faded to black.
