New Recruits

“What did you want to talk about?” I ask Aphrodite, looking up at her.

“You and Nico,” she sighs,

“What about me and Nico, is there something wrong?” I ask, getting a bit annoyed. Cant I just have a love life where I get to choose who I fall in love with?

“You know very well that Nico isn’t the one meant for you… Your love life was designed by me personally, no it does NOT end tragically. Your dad made me promise…” she said, trailing off.

“Yeah, I think he knew that you would have made it tragic. We all know how much you LOVE tragic love stories.” I say, the last part quieter than the first.

“Well, do you know who I made you to be soul mates with?” she asks.

“Annabeth…” I said in a glum voice.

“Percy, I promise you that she didn’t mean to betray you! She was being influenced when she took that evil child’s side… I don’t know who it was but it was a power that no single god could to alone. All the gods, even the minor ones would have to help to over power it and I can only think of a few things… but they would all have to be combined.” She says.

“Like what?” I ask curiously.

“Kronos working with Gaea,” she states, but she looks at ease.

“Why are you so calm?” I ask, wondering how she could say something like that and still be calm.

“The world has changed Perseus; we have the upper hand while Gaea lives in the past.” Aphrodite says confidently. “Either way, Nico is going to fall in love with Luke and you are going to end up with Annabeth. Do you understand me?” she said, I nodded. Aphrodite was not the best goddess to mess with, especially about love.

“Goodbye, Aphrodite!” I call walking out the doors and towards the elevators. The portal to the Chaos realm formed behind me and sucked me in. I landed hard on the ground at my father’s feet. “OWWWWW!” I complain, looking up. Then I see two girls standing next to him.

“Percy, these are your new recruits. Crystal and Willow,” Chaos says, letting the girls step forward.

“I am Crystal Jewel, Immortal daughter of Athena!” she says proudly, ahh we have much work to do if we want to help her loosen up. She had long back length hair with streaks of red, light brown, and rainbow streaks going through her blond hair. It was styled in a braid that started at her hairline and went all the way back, her eyes were grey but they seemed to be tie-died with rainbow colors. Her light skin shined a grey color meaning before she came Athena had blessed her. She was wearing a rainbow dress with red leggings (are we sure this girl isn’t a daughter of Iris???) but she was also wearing armor over it. She stepped back leaving the other girl alone standing in front of me.
