Percy's P.O.V

I was overjoyed really, I was... but something was off. As happy as I was that Althea and my father were married I couldn't ignore how weird things have been. My father seems not to care about anything else except Althea, he doesnt come in and dothe work he has to do inhis office... so instead of being out in the feild with the rest of the army im stuck at my fathers desk doing all of his work, I know it's an important job and everything but that doesnt mean I'm enjoying it. "Hey Perce!" said Nico, pulling me from my thoughts.

"Yes Nico? Can I help you?" I asked,

"Dude, I know your all busy doing Lord Chaos' work but you dont have to be so uptight," he stated, I sighed in response... I knew he was right, I wasnt being myself.

"Listen, Nico... im sorry. I'm just trying to figure out whats going on with my dad, it's driving me insane" I said, he nodded and sat down.

"Percy, they jusy got married! Give them a break, let them have some 'special time' together," Nico reasoned, I rolled my eyes and nodded.

"They've got another week before I die of boredom" I said, Nico laughed at my statement and stood up walking out of the room. The only thing I'm sure of is that this is going to be a very VERY long week. I picked up some paperwork and began filling it out as if I were Chaos himself.

One Week Later

Its been a week, a week and my father still isnt back! I understand that he just got married and everything, but I have my own job! According to Nico's reports it's been a mess with Thalia and Jason fighting to see who gets to make the decisions in my place. "Percy, help me! She's gone insane!" cried Jason, crawling into the office.

"Who Thalia?" I asked, he nodded and I smiled. If they were going to try and take my place then they would have to earn it. "Well, if your both trying to fill my place and your running in fear from her... doesnt that make her more qualified for the position?" I asked innocently, his expression hardened and he stood up.

"Your right! I have to be the stronger one if I want to be first command while your filling in for Lord Chaos I have to show that I'm stronger than she is," and with that remark he walked out of the room and the sound of lightning was heard from outside. I laughed and listened to the sound of destruction for about an hour or so when it suddenly stopped and I walked out to see Jason being taken to the infirmary and Thalia standing there triumphantly.

"So I take it you won?" I questioned, she nodded and followed Jason to the infirmary.

"So wrong, she's so strong... and scary" mumbled Jason as he dissapeared into the infirmary. I laughed and walked back into the office where I saw my dad and Althea talking. He looked my direction and when he saw me he smiled.

"Percy! How's it been lately? Who's been taking care of my work lately, it looks so perfect. Almost like it was me who did it. Was it Janine?" he asked.

"Actually, I did... its my duty as Prince Hurricane to take your place when you are absent. Plus Janine couldn't be bothered," I replied, he laughed at my last statement. He was just so happy, and I couldn't help but be happy for them.

"I'm glad that someone could be bothered, well... I guess it's about time you got back to work... I'll see you later son," said Chaos. I smiled and turned around heading for the door.

On the way out the door I heard Althea say "I wish you wouldn't call him son what about the child I could give you? Your going to have to give up this fantasy you have of him being your son" I froze, waiting for my dad to respond and defend me.

All I got from him was a "Maybe your right," I straightened up, if this is how it was going to be then fine. I was furious and even though my face was expressionless I couldnt help the storm cloud I had created and the mini earthquakes that went off every few minutes. Nothing over level one though.
