'I hope he gets out of his meeting on time...'

Yugi sighed as he continued washing Yami's clothes. It was cloth-washing day, and he had decided to sit outside to wash said clothes. It was a clear day outside, and he was looking forward to the afternoon. He and Yami were supposed to meet up in Yami's secret garden that the prince had shown the slave a few days ago.

"Yami, where are we going?"

Yugi followed Yami as the prince led the little one through the gardens. Yami looked back and winked with a smile, causing Yugi's heart to skip a beat and making a blush appear on his face. "You'll see, my love." This cause Yugi to blush deeper and Yami chuckled.

Yami had taken to calling Yugi by that name ever since the two confessed their love the other night. There were also other nicknames that he had come up with; hikari and Little One were a couple of them. They all made Yugi feel embarrassed, but Yugi loved the nicknames all the same.

When they had reached the ends of the gardens, Yami stopped. Yugi, caught up in his own thoughts, knocked right into Yami. He would have fallen if his lover hadn't caught him. He blushed and quickly thanked the heir.

Yami smiled. "Yugi, do you trust me?"

Yugi didn't hesitate. He nodded. "With all of my heart, Yami." Yugi didn't know why Yami was asking it, but he knew that no matter what, his answer would be the same.

Yami smiled before holding out a cloth. Yugi tilted his head cutely. Yami chuckled. "I wish to surprise you, so do you mind if I put this over your eyes?" Yami asked. Yugi shook his head, and Yami walked behind him. He lifted the cloth to cover Yugi's eyes and tightened it so it didn't fall.

Yugi then felt Yami's hand slip into his own, and he was guided through what felt like bushes. Yugi wasn't nervous in the slightest; just as he told Yami, he trusted his lover with everything he was.

He felt Yami stop him gently before he heard Yami move behind him. He felt the cloth loosen. "Are you ready, Aibou?" He felt Yami whisper in his ear, sending shivers down Yugi's spine. Yugi nodded.

As soon as the cloth fell from his face and he opened his eyes, Yugi gasped in amazement.

The garden consisted of a beautiful stone bench, a little waterfall with a river, a little bridge over said river, and beautiful flowers of all colors, shapes and sizes. It was the most beautiful thing Yugi had ever seen. And according to Yami, it was his secret garden that only he and his brother knew about. Yugi felt tears of happiness fall down his cheeks as he thought of how special he must be for Yami to share his most precious spot with him.

Yami - who had apparently never seen happy tears before - started panicking. "I'm so sorry! What did I do? Oh my Ra, I didn't mean to make you cry; I just-" Yami stopped as Yugi started laughing. The darker male blinked. "Um... Yugi?"

Yugi looked up at him with a smile, wiping his tears. "I'm sorry. These aren't tears of sadness or hurt; they're tears of happiness." Yugi watched as Yami froze in confusion. Yugi just smiled and leaned up to kiss his lover, whispering an 'I love you' right before their lips met.

Yugi smiled and blushed at the memory before shaking his head and going back to the washing as he waited for his lover to finish up the meeting he was in.

Yami sighed as he left the eyesight of his father and the priests. The meeting was a long one, and Yami didn't even know why he attended; it's not like anyone cared about his input anyways. But his father had requested presence, so it's not like he could refuse.

"Let me guess: rough meeting and you just want to go to the hideout for your date with Yugi?"

Yami yelped in surprise as he jumped back. He heard a chuckle and sighed in relief when he realized who it was. He glared daggers at the male who stood against the wall. "Must you frighten me so, Older Brother?"

Atem just smiled as he walked over to Yami. "Yes. I find it quite amusing." He laughed once more at the unamused facial expression Yami held. "I tease, brother. Any who, don't you have a secret date to get to?" Atem said with a wink.

Yami immediately brightened up. "Yes! Thank you Atem. I must go now." Atem nodded as Yami ran off. Atem just chuckled as he watched his brother leave.

"It seems I have a lot of catching up to do, brother."

And with that, Atem left to hunt down the little spitfire that he knew he was falling for.

A/N: So this was more of a filler thing to lead into the next chapter. Plus I wanted to create a secret garden for future chapters. The picture at the top is how it basically looks; just add way more flowers and there you go. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this cute little filler.
