Chapter Nine: New Slave

As soon as Yami closed the door behind them, Yugi felt a force plow into him, causing him to fall on the floor. He winced as his butt made contact with the hard cell floor, and the pain in his side pounded in pain as arms squeezed around him.

"Heba... Hurts..."

He looked down to see his twin jump back a bit with a guilty look on his face. "I'm sorry, Big Brother... I didn't mean to... I was aiming for the prince..." Yugi watched tears fall down Heba's face. "If I had known how much you cared for him I wouldn't..." Heba burst into tears.

Yugi smiled a bit, before patting Heba's head, causing the younger twin to look up and him. "It's fine, Heba; I'm fine. No need to worry, okay?" Heba nodded and Yugi reached over, placing his hands on Heba's cheeks. He wiped Heba's tears as he spoke. "Heba... Who gave you your job?" Yugi asked.

Heba didn't hesitate to answer. "Princess Tea Gardner." This shocked Yami and Yugi. Yugi looked back at Yami to see his furious expression. Yugi looked back at Heba.

"Heba, you're sure it was the Princess?"

Heba tilted his head. "The princess who is obsessed with the prince and always talking about how she'll be the one to marry him no matter what she has to do?" Yugi sweat-dropped but nodded. "Then yes, it was her."

Yugi heard steps walking over to him and looked up to see Yami. He took off his cartouche and handed it to Yugi. "Here. This is proof that I've given you some authority. Take Heba to get changed and come back to the room. I will deal with her and bring Atem with me when I am finished." Yugi nodded and Yami bent down, kissing Yugi's head, causing the slave to blush. "I might be late, so don't force yourself to stay up, okay?" Yugi nodded before watching Yami leave.

Yugi stood up and held a hand out for his brother. He smiled. "Come. Let's get you into your new uniform."

Heba pulled down on the bottom of the cloth with a slight blush. "Are all the uniforms this short?" He asked.

Yugi giggled and nodded. "You'll get used to it." Yugi stopped as he spotted a certain blonde turning the corner into another hallway. Yugi smiled; he'd love to scare the blonde. He looked at Heba. "Follow me; there's someone I want you to meet." Heba nodded and Yugi jogged to the hall that his friend disappeared into, Heba close behind. He turned into the hall. "Hey, Joe-" He froze in shock at what he saw, Heba doing the same.

There in the middle of the hall stood Yugi's friend Joey as well as Yami's cousin, Priest Seto, kissing. Seto had Joey pinned to the wall and the blonde blushed hard as Seto roughly kissed him.

Yugi immediately grabbed Heba and hid behind the wall of the hall they came from, peeking from it to watch the scene unfold.

They watched as Seto backed out of the kiss, and looked down at Joey, who was still blushing. Seto said something before kissing Joey real quick and leaving. Once Seto disappeared from sight, Joey slid down the wall to sit on the floor, reaching up to cover his mouth.

Yugi figured now would be a good time to appear. He walked out of hiding and walked over to Joey. Joey apparently didn't hear his steps since he didn't look up. Yugi smiled down at Joey when he reached the blonde. "So you and Priest Seto, huh?"

This made Joey jump and look up at Yugi. "Yugi?" He glanced behind Yugi. "...and Yugi?" He looked back at Yugi. "Why are there two of you, Yug?" He blinked before jumping up into a stand. "And why are you up?! You just woke up a couple hours ago!"

Yugi gulped. Due to their parents 'teaching' them to be immune to poison and pain, they quickly recovered. But he didn't want Joey to know his past just yet. He laughed nervously. "Guess it's just my lucky day! I'm feeling fine!" Yugi the motioned to his right where he assumed Heba was standing. "And this is my little brother, Heba. He was brought in today. We were separated at a young age." He glanced behind himself and saw Heba nodding with a smile.

"That's awesome; you guys get to work in the palace together." He sighed. "I wish my sister was here, but Serenity is too ill to work. Her illness is getting better every day though, according to Priest Seto." Joey said with a smile.

Yugi smirked. "Of course it is; after all, it is the sibling of his lover that he's supplying treatment to." Joey blushed and looked away. Yugi giggled and smiled. "So how long have you two..." Yugi trailed off.

Joey smiled. "Two years I believe." Joey answered. Yugi's mouth dropped. "What?"

Yugi shook his head. "I just thought that he would have freed you and made you his marriage partner by now." Joey blushed even harder.

"Don't tell me..." Heba started, before he and Yugi yelled at the same time.

"HE ALREADY PROPOSED?!"

Joey nodded, too embarrassed to speak. Yugi and Heba just stood there in shock before they attacked Joey in a hug. Joey fell over in shock at the sudden weight and they toppled into a huge pile. They looked at each other and started laughing. However, they stopped when a familiar voice broke their laughing streak.

"What's going on here?"

Yugi gulped, suddenly remembering the rule about how no one but people Yami approved of could touch him. It also made him aware of the trio's awkward position. This made Yugi nervous all of a sudden. He turned and found himself looking into the eyes of someone he thought was busy. Yami did not look happy about the situation.

Yugi gulped once more; this was not going to end well.
