Hey guys here's the update!

Charlie was outside a tear sliding down her face as she had her feet dangling off the cliff. She was inside and Beast boy had been talking about how he missed his mom. I had guessed what happened to her but I didn't want to believe it was true till some one flat out told me he didn't mean any harm but I couldn't stay in that room any more so I left. I felt a presence next to me as I stared out at the ocean.
"You never explained why you and Gar are so close..." Tim questioned quietly.
"He's my only living family...my real family. He's my nephew." I said looking at the ground.
"Wait so that means-"
"Ya.. my sisters dead. She died and I just found out about it...my brothers died when i was 14." I said all of this bitterly flashing back to my brothers deaths. "I didn't know about them till I was 11 when we got a call at the manor about some sibling I might have. Turns out my parents gave everyone up for adoption but me... I immediately wanted to meet them all. I mean they were my real family." I said all of this as more tears came to my eyes. "But I only ha them for a little. It's like going to heaven for a while but then your ripped from it and put back on earth. Everything else seems worse then it was before. " I spoke with a bitter tone in my voice as I remembered there deaths.
-flash back-
My brother had just gotten in town to visit when he was kidnapped by nun other then the joker himself. He was beaten and stabbed for hours till I finally found him dumped in the rain. Running over I slid in next to him tears already forming. When he noticed me finally he spoke.
"Birdy this ain't lookin to great for me" he coughed out a chuckle trying to ease some of the sadness." His wounds were fatal to say the least but I just couldn't handle loosing any body else.
"no...NO! Your gunna be just fine! Well take you to the medbay right now a-an you can get all patched up." The desperation in my voice was evident. "All you need is to just stay awake. That's it. Please just keep your eyes open and yo-"
"Charlie!" His rough voice strained. "I'm not making it out of this one so easy kiddo." He said chuckling but it turned into a coughing fit.
"No! Your fine." I said tears blurring my vision my throat becoming thick.
"It's not that easy kid. I'm gunna die, but I want you to know I love you sis. I want you to be happy. Don't mourn to long."
"no please..." I said shaking my head. "Please don't leave me. Everybody always leaves me."
"Hey hey sh it's all right. You've got people hear that love you. And I'm always gunna be a prayer away."
"I'm so-sorry I should have done something...this is all my fault. If I was just a little faster."
"Hey now this is no way your fault. Plus now I can go see mom and dad up in heaven. There waiting for me Charlie I can see them. " His voice becoming airy and dying down to a whisper. "There's a light. Charlie you should see it, it's beautiful. I-I can see them char...I can see mom and dad and john. There waiting for me."
"No just stay awake a little longer. Stay with me." She said demandingly.
"It's my time now Charlie. Just know I'll always love you sis." He spoke his last words a small smile gracing his bloody face.
Sobs caught in my throat. Endless streams of tears went down my face as I stared at my fallen brother. Putting my face in his chest I wailed a sorrowful noise breaking the hearts of all who heard. Putting my face to the raining sky above I let out a cry that shock the earth itself by the deafening sound. The cry turned into loud heart retching sobs. No one knew why this always happened to the bat clan but there luck ran dry. Rain splattered across my face making my tears seam invisible to a sense. I could hear feet running in my direction as the team came in sight. As soon as they saw me there faces turned from shocked to grim when they saw the body in front of me. Oh how I wish I could change it all but this is the hand god dealt me and I had to work with it.
-skip to next flash back-
It was an hour before my brother john was supposed to land and we had a mission. My brother was coming in from Afghanistan on leave. This was his third tour there and every year it still scares me. Walking into the cave training room we were all suited up for a mission. I had a box in my hand labeled US Army. He had sent me something I just wasn't sure what. The team was all gathered around the monitor getting instructions from batman.
*3rd person*
All could see the curiosity on the young girls face. As the others were getting debriefed she started to open the box quietly her curiosity winning. The others didn't notice her till a noise caught all there ears. A loud gasp and a bang surprised them. The girl stood a hand over her mouth and one wrapped around her stomach like she was holding her self together. Her eyes were wide and tears filled them quickly.
"Tweety?" The alien girl questioned concerned. A choked out sob was her only answer as the girl shock her head mumbling "no"over and over again.
"Charlie!?" Robin said running to we side catching her as she cal lapsed on the ground. "Char talk to me please?" His voice desperate.
"H-he...oh god...n-no." She couldn't speck only role more into her self. Batman walked closer worry evident in his eyes for his daughter. Walking to the box he lifter the lid reveling the content inside.
"...Oh no." He whispered. Reaching his hand in he pulled out a pair of dog tags and a American flag. All the signs of a fallen soldier. Silence filled the room as they all took in the sight instantly knowing what it meant.
"He was coming in t-today. We w-were gunna hang out. Do brother sister stuff. Now he he he's...dead." She choked out. "I-I ca-can't b-b-breath." She started to hyperventilate. Both her arms wrapped around her stomach holding together her self like she was a broke toy about to fall apart.
"Charlie breath! In and out" Artemus said from her spot on the other side of her best friend. "Robin do something!"
Nodding he took her face in his hands. "Charlie. Charlie look at me. Ok now you need to breath for a second....good now focus on me so that you don't go into shock again." His voice was so smooth and soothing that she embraced it head on. She cried into his shirt on the floor for another hour till she finally passed out. Looking up with sad eyes robin lifted the girl and went off to put her to bed.
-flash back end-
"Charlie...I-I don't know what to say other then I'm sorry..." Tim said hugging me. "But I want you to know that you have me now. I'm proud to call you my sister and hope you think the same about me being your brother."
Letting out a watery laugh I hugged him to me. "I'd be happy any day to call you my brother."
This day sucked ass but hey you live on.
