"So did y'all date when y'all were young?" Bat girl asked out of the blue while looking at Dick and I as we cuddle up on the couch.
"Uh no actually it started when we were 15. I had bad luck when it came to boys before him. Partially his fault to." I said sending a joking glare in his direction.
"But this is how it went...
-flash back-
The team was in the kitchen taking about anything that came to mind. The only one absent was Tweety who was MIA at the moment. As they all continued on with there conversation Connor heard a soft noise with his super hearing.
"You guys hear that...."
"What." Artemus asked.
"It sounds like....crying" he said it like it was a question. The team got peculiar looks on there face. "I'm gunna go look for the source." They all already had a hypothesis of who it was but they really hoped they were wrong. Following the noise they came to the front room were they saw a surprising sight. On the couch was a crying Tweety and a certain Red headed archer.
"Shhh Tweet it's ok..." He said trying franticly to make her tears stop. He hated seeing his little sister as he thought of her cry. "That guy was a dushbag anyways." He whispered hugging her tighter to him as she cried into his chest.
"B-but I-I real-l-ly l-liked him!" She said loudly. Her mask was still on her face seeing as no one but Wally and Roy knew. Robin obviously knew duh.
"Hey guys are like busse-"
"I don't like busses!" She sobbed out.
"What I mean is that uh...ok Birdy you know I suck with words but I'm just gunna try really hard ok." Quieting her cries as she looked up at him. Even if her eyes were covered he could imagine the large blue puddles that looked to innocent. "Boys suck. Your only 14 so it dosnt matter that much in the long run. This is one boy. He was a dumb ass to cheat on you. Everyone knows that. Now wipe your tears pretty bird cause he doesn't deserve them. And I'm pretty sure there is someone waiting out there for you who loves you, you just have to open your eyes a little to see them." The team was shocked to hear such caring words from the usual snarky ginger but the sweat words that were really only ever reserved for a special few were surprising to head.
"Really..." She asked quietly.
"Course Tweet pretty girls like you always have admirers." He glanced over her head at the team focusing on there other bird with a pointed look. Picking her head up she saw the whole team standing there and quickly wiped at her face trying to make the tear tracks disappear. Robin ran over and I belied the girl in a large bear hug making the girls emotions start up again. She let her last tears slip from her eyes as her fellow bird comforted her by whispering sweet words in her ears.
Roy made his way over towards the team slowly.
Roy had found her crying in a park when he was looking for a lead on the real Roy Harper. He stopped right away to help his little sister.
"I have one piece of advice you should all listen closely to." As Roy stared at Charlie who had yet to stop crying. It was her first boyfriend to ever cheat on her and it was a major blow to her self-esteem .
"What..." The whole team questioned.
"Don't mess with Batmans birds." That was the best warning anyone could give.
"Why what happens." One of them fearfully asked.
"Don't know. No ones been able to live to tell about it." That was enough to send shivers of fear down anyone's spine.
