First date (Age 15)

It should have been easy in hindsight. They had known each other since they were 8 and were each others best friends but for some reason the minute their hangouts were labaled a date Dicks composure went out the window. He was practically shaking in his seat across from Charlie at the diner that he had taken them to and could barely formulate correct sentences he was so enamored by the little blonde across from him.
"Dick?" Charlie reach across the table and placed her hand on his stopping his train of thought as he brought his attention back to her. "You wanna tell me what's got you so wound up or do I need to guess?" she said softly a sweet smile she saved just for him come to her face making a soft sigh leave him.
"I just-I don't want to screw this up," He finally admitted while looking at their joined hands. "I love you and have waited so long for this moment, I don't know what I'll do if you change your mind about us,"
"Dick," she sighed and grabbed his other hand over the table. "I love you," she stated while looking him in the eye when his head snapped up at her words. "I love you," she repeated in a firmer tone. "A slightly awkward first date isn't going to ruin that because I know you and I want you,"
"yeah?" he replied softly with a crooked smile that had her heart racing.
"Yes, now stop acting weird and talk to me like we always do when we hang out,"
"If I talk to you like were hanging out how is it even a date,"
"Well there are benefits to it like now you can hold my hand," she said squeezing it for infuses, "Or kiss me whenever you want to,"
"Whenever I want to?" he said with excitement slipping in his tone. Charlie nodded with a little laugh before she felt herself being jolted forward in her seat, Dicks lips connecting with her swiftly. It wasn't a long kiss as they were in public but it would do its job. Charlie fell back in her seat with a dazed face as Dick looked her over with a goofy smile.
"Damn I'm going to abuse the hell out of that benefit," He joked with a self-satisfied grin as Charlie seemed to come back to the here and now.
"Can't say I mind it," Charlie shot back while biting her lip softly. "You know what I want to do right now,"
"Pretend to watch a movie at the cave and make out instead," Dick said with a raised brow. Standing from her seat the girl through a handful of bills on their table and stuck her hand out.
"You know me so well," she said pulling him out of the car and down the street to the closest zeta beam. Once they made it into the cave Dick chased Charlie to her room, her giggles filling the halls when he ran faster and tossed her over his shoulder on his way. Sliding into the room he tossed her on the bed watching her bounce, her long curls jumping in the air. Grabbing a remote off her desk he turned the tv on and clicked on a random station. It was some reality tv show that neither cared about.
Climbing on the bed Dick moved to lie next to her, pushing some hair out of her face and off her shoulder.
"You're so beautiful," he said softly as he moved so their foreheads were rested together.
"You think so," She shot back just as softly.
"Yeah, I do," with that he connected their lips in a searing kiss that had them sent into a frenzy. They never went farther then kissing that night and simple fell asleep on top of the covers after spending the next few hours talking as they laid in the bed.
