Apologies for not posting yesterday! I have been feeling under the weather and I didn't feel like writing too much :( I also needed time to think about what will happen next in the story and in what sequence. So again, I'm sorry!

Can we just appreciate the fact that I was watching High School Musical 3  on my tiny TV and was like "Zac Efron is super cute, I wonder if he has blue eyes, and if he does I could use him for Dylan" So I looked up a close up of him and yes. The beautiful does have blue eyes. So yea, thats Dylan ^^

Don't mind me, carry on.

Chapter 13~

☆☆☆

I lay in bed staring at the ceiling dazed, trying to remember what day it was.

Then it hit me.

It was Friday. Finally Friday. I had struggled through the first week back and finally it was coming to an end.

'I haven't talked to Alex since the incident on Monday.' I thought. 'He's been avoiding our lunch table all week.'

I sighed and rolled out of bed. It had been a rough first week with everything going down at the beginning of the week, but the drama dwindled. Unfortunately, I'm was still stuck with the problem of Alex, and the problem of Hope's secret, but nothing else has happened. Yet.

I rapped on my wooden vanity (just to be sure) as I made my way over to my closet. From my cluttered closet I salvaged a fitting, black and white long sleeved shirt, a short, pleated maroon skirt, and cute black booties, plus chunky gold jewelry to complete the look.

I looked at myself in the bathroom mirror, satisfied,  then grabbed my hair straightener, then walked back down the hall to my room. I walked over to my vanity and sat down, whilst plugging in my straightening iron. While my iron heated up I did my makeup, a slightly heavier look, completed with a matte, maroon lipstick. I straightened my hair slowly, continually spraying my hair with heat protectant. If I don't lay on the heat protectant my hair will be split to the roots.

'Just like your friendship with Alex.' A little voice in my head taunted.

Wow. Harsh.

I shook off the thought and looked at my phone. I didn't have much time. I ran downstairs, grabbed my book bag, a banana and a yogurt cup, and was out the door. I had a couple minutes before the bus came, so I went through my phone. Something prompted me to look through Alex and I's texts. Looking through, I was surprised to see I had received several messages from him. The messages contained things like 'Your loss' and 'You're not my problem anymore'. Anger from nowhere washed over me so strongly, I started to shake. I kicked over a flower pot, its contents spilling across the driveway. I jammed my phone back into my backpack and waited, fuming, for the bus to arrive.

Lunchtime rolled around and I was still bitter at Alex for sending those texts. I walked over to the lunch table and noticed that Alex was talking with Sophia. I discreetly cleared my throat, and Alex and a few others looked up. I pointedly took the farthest seat away from Alex, which was conveniently next to Dylan. I wasn't prepared for the look of hurt in Alex's eyes.

'Jeeze. For a guy who was a total jerk sending those texts, he seems genuinely upset about the whole thing.' I mused.

Whatever.

I turned to Dylan and flashed him a big smile.

"So, whats up Dylan?" I asked, hoping my voice would cary across to Alex.

"Nothing much." Dylan said, smiling back.

We continued chatting, but in the back of my mind my "Cute-o-Meter" was going off the charts. How did I not notice Dylan before? Sure, we've always been friendly, but Dylan was the quiet, more sweet type. The other boys in my group were so different. Jason was a total player with every girl, Austin was the goofy kid, and Alex was the lovable one. They really pumped up the atmosphere of the group.

And then there's Dylan.

Thinking back now, Dylan was like Canada to the U.S. He's always there, always loyal, and yet you can forget he's there.

'Wow Stephanie, you actually got something out of Social Studies!' I thought, smiling a little.

There was a lull in conversation at the table as everybody ate. Then Austin and Hazel exchanged a look. Austin stood up.

"Guys I have something really important to announce." Austin started. "Some of you have been expecting this," he said, glancing at Clara, "and some of you have no idea what I'm doing right now." he continued.

I smiled. This should be juicy.
