Legs dangling off the armrest, gaze following a pattern on the wall; a yawn escaped him, the urge to flee ever so strong.

"Sasuke why do you do it?"

The annoying question was repeated for the umpteenth time. He had half the mind to tell the man to shut up lest he fell asleep.

Who needed mothers to sing them to sleep when you had nagging doctors?

"Do you feel sad Sasuke? Is it because of some terrible past experience? Or maybe a failed relationship? A girl perhaps?"

A bark of a laughter was his response. He had to hold his head to keep it from exploding.

This was too funny.

"Good one, doc."

The man in white cringed.

Pity was all that Sasuke felt for him. To be stuck in the same room as him, doc must have done something terrible in his past life.

Sasuke was a difficult man.

And he knew it.

"Do you think I'd kill myself for a girl? That would be a pathetic way to go down."

" Then why do you do it?"

He sighed, deciding to give the poor man a break. "I'm looking for something?"

"Like what?"

"The high of pain."

Eyebrows dipping in confusion, he searched his face for something, anything. "I'm afraid I don't understand."

Abandoning his seat, a final glance spared. "I know. That's why I don't bother with your kind."

The door closed behind him with a gentle click.

Fingers messaging his temple to soothe the migraine his patient left him with.

Dealing with people like him should be illegal.

...

They rode back home in silence on the most part until Itachi decided to break it.

"How did it go, Sasuke?

The younger Uchiha shrugged.

Music played in the background, eyes unfocused; he often found life passing him by in a blur.

"So I guess the session ended with a new addition to the crazy?"

"His brain cells survive, for now. Though it's the crazy that make the world worth living."

Itachi was not amused. Entertaining is entertaining only once. Repeatation takes away its charm.

"Then I guess you should stop trying to kill yourself. The world has plenty of crazy, thanks to you as well."

Shoulders shaking as he chuckled. "I have never been known for following rules now have I, Itachi?"

Itachi's foot slammed into the break angrily, inertia almost throwing Sasuke out the wind screen. The belt that he begrudgingly put on upon Itachi's insistence held him back. The crash would surely have hurt. Sasuke thought.

"STOP IT ALREADY, WOULD YOU? Stop worrying mother, father and I. We can't have a moment's peace because of you. You're smart. You have a bright future ahead of you. Why would you want to throw it away?"

A bird fluffed its wings on a tree branch; a white car drove by, a young girl poking her head out, her hair fluttering; a tin can crashed nearby scaring the living daylights out of a cat which released a shrill cry.

"Are you even listening?"

A sigh. "Do I ever?"

"Sasuke!"

"Get the fuck off my back, Itachi. Mother and father have two sons. They can spare one."

A pained looked crossed the brunettes face. Sasuke didn't care. He never did. Pulling the door open, he escaped the confines of the vehicle. Itachi watched him until his form disappeared, his words went unheard.

"What ever happened to my otouto, Sasuke?"

...

Disgrace. Father called him.

A shame to the name Uchiha.

Mother weeped in a corner. That's all she ever did. Weep.

Itachi stood at the door, arms crossed over his chest.

Sasuke yawned.

Another slap.

Pathetic man. If he could hit a little harder, Sasuke wouldn't have to depend on scissors and knives and heavy metal blocks.

His hits were like a girl's.

"Stop it already. You call that a slap? No wonder your first wife ran away."

Eyes turned red in rage.

Both Mikoto and Itachi had to hold him down to keep him from finishing the younger Uchiha once and for all.
A colorful array of words, that could put a child's picture book to shame were exchanged.

The heap on the living room floor appeared as if Uchihas were playing twister.

Sasuke simply retired to his bedroom. He had school tomorrow.

...

"Uchiha Sasuke! I would be grateful if you joined the rest of the class."

Sasuke turned to the man standing in front. All eyes on him, the raven once again focused his attention on a much deserving scenery. "What's the point?"

"The point is you'll learn something."

"I've learned enough."

"Is that so? Then perhaps you should recreate the diagram I just drew." A duster materialized between Iruka's fingers. In a matter of seconds, the diagram that had taken him a good forty-minutes was reduced to a puff of chalk.

Forty minutes was a long time.

A blank board greeted him, a chalk in hand, the longer needle had crossed only one digit on the clock and Sasuke was done.

"Can I leave. My hands need washing."

The bell rang yet the students remained glued to their seats.
