'Song of the birds'
I live in a land,
It's full of sand.
An hour glass, ticking my life away.
But each grain that falls is in equivalence to a day.I stay here, waiting for my orders.
Waiting even as my life becomes shorter.
The chains of society holding me down.
Too heavy to break.
Too hard to shake. My invisible shackles pin me to the ground.
Hidden from view,
I can see the free birds.
And I long to join. But my chains too tight they cut my wrist.
So day to day,
I will stay.
To hear the golden melody of the birds.
Envious of their beautiful songs.
