Dominique
I can't believe I was really sitting here cleaning up Dejan's throw up. But she was hysterical and of course she had that bottom lip poked out.
I started to feel guilty. Dejan looked so rough, like she had been crying the whole week. She had dark bags under her eyes and her eyes them self were bloodshot. Her hair was pulled into a bun but it was still all over her head. I didn't even know Dejan owned a pair of sweatpants and I knew that was my t-shirt she was wearing by the way it fit her.
I'm just glad that she forgave me and I was gonna do everything in my power to keep her happy cause I didn't like this depressed look on her. She was still beautiful but she looked so much better smiling and happy.I started smiling thinking about her and what my Mama said about how beautiful she had gotten over the years.
My phone started ringing and snapped me out of my daydream. It was Mikey.
"What up?" I answered.
"Bruh, Isis done lost her mind!"
"What happened? What she do?"
"She flat all my tires. Well not all of them but 3 of them!" He yelled.
"How you know it was her?" I couldn't help but laugh. I knew Isis was the only person crazy enough to do something like that.
"It's not funny! You know Isis the only motherfucker crazy enough to do some shit like that! You know what this mean?"
"Yeah, she fenna slice and dice yo ass next!" I died laughing.
"No nigga. Don't even play like that. I still ain't over the last time she tazed my black ass. It means my insurance won't replace my damn tires!"
"Damn. That's unfortunate," I was still laughing.
"Whatever bruh! Come scoop me! I refuse to sit in this house. And I want Prince's anyhow."
"Aight bruh. Watch your back!"
"Bye!" He hung up on me.
I stood up and turned around only to catch Dejan standing there watching me. I damn near jumped outta my skin.
"Damnit Dae!"
"Sorry," she giggled. That's the first I had seen her smile the whole time I was here.
"How long was you standing right there?" I looked her over. I could tell she had gotten in the shower because her hair was wet and she smelled like baby lotion. She had thrown on a cuter t-shirt that was black and white stripes with a pair of khaki pants rolled up so that they stopped mid-calf and a pair of black and white high top Chuck's. Simple but cute. That was her style. I was just happy she was feeling better.
"Not long. Seemed like you were having a pretty important conversation so I didn't want to interrupt."
"Yeah, I heard about ya' girl Isis! I'm just thankful all I got was a slap in the face," I let out a sigh of relief.
"Yeah consider yourself real lucky," she rolled her eyes. "But anyways, Isis is outside. She wanted to take me to Prince's."
"Aw that's cool. I was about to go pick up Mikey and head out there, too."
"Okay, I'll see you later then," she leaned her head up for a kiss.
I kissed her real long. Then gave her a few pecks. "Promise me we'll finish what we started later?" I asked.
"We'll see," she smiled.
I grabbed a huge chunk of her ass. "Yeah, we gone see."
Mikey
I hopped in the car and slammed the door. I was pissed.
"Aye chill nigga!" Dom yelled at me.
"I'm fucking pissed. Not only did she slash my tires, she busted out my headlights, too. And she keyed it! Guess what she wrote?" I faked a laugh.
"What?" Dom was actually laughing.
"Bet. She wrote the word bet on my car with her key."
He died laughing.
"And my Mama said she wasn't gonna help me get anything fixed because 'that's what I get and she didn't raise me to be out here doing girls wrong'," I repeated her words.
"Damnnn. That's cold," he finally stopped laughing. "Well her and Dejan are at Prince's right now."
"Good," I stated. I had a few words for Isis.
It took us 10 minutes to get up Dickerson Rd but it felt more like an hour.
I hopped out as soon as we pulled up. He barely had the car in park and I was already inside. I saw Isis, Dejan, and Latrice sitting in a booth closest to the front counter.
"Really Isis? It was that serious?"
"What are you talking about?" She asked.
Her playing dumb made me even more upset. "My car Isis. I know it was you. Nobody else is crazy enough to do nothing like that."
She let out a giggle.
"So that's just it?"
She shrugged.
"Scoot over," I said.
She did so and I slid in the booth next to her. I don't know why but the fact Isis could just sit there and act as if nothing happened low-key turned me on. On the other hand it made me realize this crazy ass little girl wasn't going nowhere. I was stuck with her, whether I was her boyfriend or just her friend.
