Eavesdropping

Max's POV

"How'd it go?" Diction asked as I walked in. "You know... with Ze."

My eyes go directly to Ohm. Of course he told them Ze was here. I couldn't blame him though. They were going to find out anyway. They are nosy bastards.

"Yeah. Give us the goss." Adam smiled.

"Sorry to burst your bubbles but there isn't any." I sigh as I take my seat.

I should of made him stay. After that kiss, I wanted him more then ever. I didn't want to be friends with him. The only thing I wanted him to be was my boyfriend. I regretted everything I said to him about moving on and telling him that he made the right decision in calling it off. What was I thinking?

"Sorry about before. I hope I didn't make things worse." Ohm frowned.

I waved my hands at him. "It's okay. He understood."

"So you're not going to tell us anything?" Diction groaned. "Give us something!"

I shook my head, rolling my eyes along as well. My relationship problems wasn't exactly what I wanted to spend the night talking about.

"Yeah, come on. I'd dish on Chilled and I but there's nothing to say." Adam joined in.

"You know I visited Chilled this morning right?" I reveal to him.

He sits up in his chair, his eyes widened. "You didn't even tell me?!"

"I didn't know I had to report to you every time I speak to him." I say in a sarcastic tone.

He scoffs at me but keeps his mouth shut. If he wanted any information out of me then he knew he'd have to behave himself.

"Ooooh. I feel a little bit of tension right now." Diction chuckles.

"Guys. There is no tension. If you must know what happened outside then fine. We're not getting back together. We can't when he doesn't trus..." I stop myself when I realise I was about to bring Ohm into it.

I close my mouth and look away from them all.

"It's me, right?" Ohm suddenly speaks. "He doesn't trust you and me."

I keep my eyes away from the guys especially Ohm. This was embarrassing to talk about. I notice out of the corner of my eye Diction squirm in his seat. Adam does the same. This was very uncomfortable now.

"Me and Nanners are gonna go..." Diction says slowly. "We're gonna go to the kitchen and uh, order some food..."

The both of them stand up and begin to walk out.

"No, guys! Everything is fine." I try calling out to them.

They ignore me and disappear around the corner. Now it was just Ohm and I. I shake my head. They didn't have to leave. They know pretty much everything that happened except one little detail. The secret kiss I had with Ohm at the hospital.

"Man. I'm sorry. This is all my fault." Ohm sighs.

"He doesn't trust me Ohm. I don't blame him for not trusting me."

He looks down to the floor. "Did you tell him about the hospital?"

"It's still our little secret. I can't tell him though. I don't want to upset him even more."

Just thinking about telling Ze is giving me the most horrible scenarios right now. I could picture his reactions if I decided to tell him. None of them were good. There was no way I was going to give him another reason not to trust me.

"I think you should tell him. He deserves to be told the truth Max. The longer you leave it, the worse it gets if and when he finds out." he suggested.

"Are you going to tell him if I don't because it's only you and me that know. So I'll know who told him if he knows." I scowl.

I hoped to god that he wouldn't go tell him. This has to be kept hidden.

"If I was him, I'd want to know if my boyfriend kissed his good friend behind my back. I wouldn't want a secret kept from me."

"YOU KISSED OHM WHILE YOU WERE STILL WITH ZE?!" Diction's voice comes from around the corner.

I scrunched up my face as I heard Diction. Now him and Adam know about my secret. I should of known they'd be listening from outside the room.

"Can't help yourselves can you?" I grunted. "Get out from the corner and get in here if you're going to just eavesdrop."

Adam and Diction come waddling in with the most awkward look on their faces. They didn't make any eye contact with Ohm or I as they sat back down in their seats.

"Okay you know our secret now. Yeah we kissed but it didn't change anything for us. I need you two not to say anything to anyone including Ze. He can't know about it. Not yet." I confessed.

Adam refused to look at me while Diction gave a disappointed stare. "I thought you were better then that. Both of you."

I hang my head in shame.

"Can we just not do this now? It was a mistake so could you just keep it a secret until Max says so?" Ohm fired back suddenly.

I was grateful Ohm said what he said. Still always having my back when I needed it.

"You better tell him soon." Adam finally gave his opinion.

It was late and everyone ended up leaving all except Ohm. I guess we weren't done as we were interrupted but I honestly had nothing else to say. He wanted me to tell Ze and I will but just not yet.

"Ohm, please." I sigh. "I'll tell him when I'm ready."

"I know you will. I just wanted to see if you're okay before I leave." he replied.

The truth is I wasn't okay. I haven't been okay for awhile now. I thought that Adam and Diction would have my back but they didn't.

"I just seem to be getting everyone to hate me more and more with each passing day."

Ohm places his hand on my shoulder. "I don't hate you and I'm sure no one really hates you. They just don't understand everything we've been through. The guys will come around."

"Why are you so nice to me? After everything I've done to you..." I blurt out. "If anyone should hate me it should be you but you don't..."

He shrugs his shoulders. "I could never hate you Max. I'm not that kind of person. You're my friend no matter what happens."

I caught myself wishing everyone was like Ohm when it come down to it. He seriously was one of the good people.

"Well I guess I should go and let you have a good nights sleep." he added.

"Can you stay for abit longer?" I stop him. "I just want someone to keep my mind off of things. I don't know. Play some games or something?"

Ohm smiles at me. "Sure thing bud."

Ze's POV - The next day.

"So you don't want to record anything?" Smarty asked.

"I'm not in the mood to do anything man. Just play without me today."

I went ahead and ended the call between us so I wouldn't have to hear anything more. I logged off my computer as well so he couldn't call me back. I didn't want to speak or see anyone. Well there was one person I would love to see but that wasn't an option. We said our goodbyes and now we had to move on even though none of us wanted it. I wish I could trust him but those messages always seem to come back in my head and prove me otherwise. I have to know what they done...
