I Need You To Be Mine

Ze's POV

"I need to talk to you..."

He pulls me back down on the seat next to him gripping onto my hand not taking his eyes off me.

"I can't do this anymore..." He adds.

His words make me confused as all hell.

"What's wrong?" I ask.

He looks away from me and grits his teeth. He really wants to say something but the question is what is he trying to say.

"Guys, you coming?" Ohm yells out from the doorway.

"Just give us a second okay!" I yell out waving my hand in front of us blocking him out.

I don't take my eyes off Max as he sits there squeezing onto my hand.

"Max, come on. What is it? We can talk but don't you think we should check Chilled first? As soon as we're done in there we can talk, I promise you."

He is usually good in tense situations but now he's completely shy and quiet. Is it caused of Chilled? He hasn't given any emotion to what is happening with him until now. Maybe he isn't as strong as he thought he was. He slowly nods his head at me. I take the chance to get up, letting him go as well. Ohm stands by the door holding it for myself and Max to walk in. We all gather around Chilled, Adam clinging onto his chest sniffling softly. I stand next to Chilled's dad and gently pat his back while he grips onto Chilled's free hand. The whole room was silent. What are we suppose to say in this situation? I get a quick glance at Max who is helplessly staring at Chilled. I notice Ohm put his arm around him and Max soft of lays his head onto Ohms shoulder. I feel a slight ping of jealousy go through me just looking the two of them together. I turn away from them and continue patting Chilled's dads back.

"Steven, I'm fine. You don't have to be so nice to me." He mutters to me.

"Sir, You're my best friends dad of course I'm going to be nice to you. You're like my second family and family means everything to me." I reassure him.

"Thank you. I'm going to go ring my brother to update him so be back soon." He steps away and nods over to Ohm and Max as he walks over to the door.

I look over to Adam who still has his head down, hugging him. I really can't imagine how he is dealing right now. I don't know what to say or even do to help him. I hear Ohm cough which makes me look at him, he heads over to me with his arm around Max still.

"Hold him. I'll see if I can help Adam." He smiles at me.

I take over from Ohm's position and hold onto Max's arm. I've never been so weirded out by his silence. I watch Ohm head over to Adam and kneel down to him, he whispers something in his ear and Adam nods his head. He then helps Adam off of Chilled, sitting him down in the seat behind them. I focus back on Max and shake him slightly.

"Hey. You're really quiet." I whisper at him. His eyes are watery but stands himself straighter and he sighs softly. "It's okay to show some emotion, you're not a robot bud."

He pushes my arm off him gently and nods his head, agreeing with my statement. "Uh, I'm gonna..." He stops and stares over at Ohm and Adam then back at me. "I'm gonna go back to the hotel. I can't be here. I just need to be by myself for a few hours. I'll be b-back in the morning..."

"Didn't you want to talk though?" I step closer.

"I just need to think first, can you give me that?" He rubs his hand through his hair.

He practically storms out the door before I can even respond to him. I stare at the open door and just sigh in annoyance. I should go back to the hotel with him.

"I think he's finally snapped and realized what is actually happening." Ohm's voice softly comes out from behind me. "I can stay here and watch Adam if you want to go after him? Or did you want me to go see if he's okay? I don't mind Ze, it's just that someone should go see if he's okay..."

"No. Just hold down the fort here. He wants to talk to me anyway about something, I'll be back in the morning. Have a good night dude." I wave him off.

As soon as I walk in the door I see Max on the edge of the bed with his head buried down into his lap.

"Max?" I say softly closing the door behind me.

He doesn't lift his head but his body begins to shake and his breathing becoming quite loud.

"Max. Are you okay?" I add.

Max immediately stands up and clenches his fists. His eyes filled with tears. "DO I LOOK OKAY STEVEN?!" He yells. "Do I have a smile plastered across my face right now?! Do these tears look like I'm okay?!"

"I'm just trying to be here for you Max..."

He throws his hands up and sits back down rubbing the tears from his eyes. I don't even know If I want to go near him right now. He's scaring me. I've never seen him like this. Ever. But he needs me... He needs someone to talk too. I lift my chest and slowly walk over to the bed and sit beside him and softly place my hand on his knee. He flinches away, moving over to the side of the bed more.

"Max, I'm here. Just let me be here for you. You're clearly not handling this very well..."

"Chilled's my little brother... He's family and... I can't do anything to help him! He's dying Ze. He's dying right in front of us and we're all hoping for a miracle here when there is no miracle. He's gone and he's not coming back! W-we're putting him in more pain by keeping him alive. He's my brother Ze... I can't do this anymore. He would want us to let him go, he wouldn't want to be like this..." He raises his voice.

"He's not dead Max! He's in a coma. People come back from them all the time! Stop saying he's gone. He's still here!" I start to raise my voice back at him.

Max suddenly looks right at my eyes. His teary eyes fluttering each time he blinked.

"He's still here..." I repeat myself. "You can count on me to help you whenever you need, you don't have to bottle everything up and hide away. I'll listen to you."

"Ze..." He comes closer to me and slides his hand in mine. "I've been thinking alot about our situation... Chilled's little hiccup tonight literally opened my eyes. I don't want to ever go through what Adam is going through with someone I care deeply for. I couldn't imagine standing by your side not being allowed to make the decisions you couldn't do just because we're not official. Adam can't do anything, he can't make the decisions and it's killing him inside that he may lose the person he loves the most. If Chilled doesn't get through this, they'll never get the chance to be together and I don't want that for us. My life could end tomorrow Ze. We don't know our expiry date. It all could end for us tomorrow or maybe in a few months..."

I couldn't take my eyes off him. He's really opening up. I thought he would close me out but he's really going for it and he's admitting his feelings for me. He wants to be with me...

"...What I'm trying to say is, I want us to be together. Officially. I don't want to be without you. You've done it. You've officially gotten into my cold heart and begun to make me feel again. I need you to be mine Ze... Do you still want... want to be with me?"

Ooooh, cutting off here cause why not. XD Yay, they got their talk, finally... Well half their talk since I stopped. But yes long overdue chapter. Man I haven't updated since last year!(Has this joke been done yet?) But anyway hope you's enjoyed. I can't promise for updating more regularly cause I just fail at promises these days but I've picked up my game and spent the last few days typing so just be calm folks. :)
