Second Day of the Regionals 3/3 (Chapter 13)

*Normal POV*

You had just won the 100m breaststroke race, you were extremely happy. The next one to swim was your boyfriend, and he got down and while you waited, started talking.

-(Y/n), you really swim very well.-Rei said you.-

-Thank you, you also are a great swimmer.-You answered a little flustered because of the compliment.-

-Imagine what would have happened  if we joined the athletics club.

-We wouldn't meat Haru, Makoto, Nagisa and Kou, we wouldn't know we are better at swimming than at athletics, and even more important than all those things; probably we wouldn't...

-...now be a couple.-Rei finished your sentence.-

-Exactly. Luckily we joined the swimming club.-You said, leaving a sigh.-

-Yes. Oh, my first race is about to start.-Rei reminded you.-

-Luck, my Rei-kun!-You said and hugged him, provocating your boyfriend to blush deeply.- You have to beat Rin!

-O-of course (Y/n)-chan.-He answered and kissed your head. Then he separated and walked to his lane. He looked at you and smiled, then focused on the race.-

-Ready, go!-The ref shouted.-

Rei started to swim. You and the rest of the team cheered for him. Rin was very fast, but Rei was also. It happened more or less as Rin and Haru in freestyle, but it was a bit difference: Rei was faster. You imagined that was in part because Rin focused very much in freestyle to beat Haru. Slowly, Rin was swimming faster and faster,until he practically reached Rei, but he also speeded, and finally, Rei won.

-Well done, Rei!-You said him and runed where he was to hug him.-

-Hey, that girl is the one that swimmed exactly as the boy that won this serie, isn't she?-Someone said between the public.-

-Yeah, she is. I heard her name is (L/n) (Y/n), she's becoming very popular, it's a great swimmer.-Other person answered.-

You heard those comments and smiled. You were very proud of yourself, of your boyfriend and of your team. You all had improoved very much. You were sure, at least, you all will reach the finals of the regionals.

-Did you hear that?-Rei asked you.-

-Yeah! I'm so proud of all of us...-You answered.- Now, prepare to your next race, the time had passed fast and it's your turn again. Now beat Souske!

-Sure!-He only said and prepared. The ref gave the signal and all the swimers jumped.-

-Wow, Souske is even faster than Rin, he's at the same speed than Rei.-Nagisa commented.-

-Yeah, incredible. Rei will have to put a lot of effort in this race to win.-Makoto agreed.-

Rei and Souske were swimming at the same speed until they reached the last pool. Souske swam faster, but Rei wasn't less than him and did the same. The both of them gave all in the race. Fortunately, Rei's efforts were recompensated and he finally won Souske with a difference of less than a second.

-Wow, Rei's in a roll today!-Gou commented.-

-That was absollutely AMAZING!-You said Rei when he got out of the water.-

-Thanks...-He answered, with a small amount of pink blush decorating his cheeks.-

-Now it's my turn.-You said.-

-It is. I wish you the best of the lucks, my love.-He said, and then kissed you.-

-You know when you do this I swim better? -You said him smiling, when you separated.-

-R-really?-He said, deeply blushing.-

-Yes. Well, I have to swim. Thanks!-You said and walked to your lane, waiting for the signal to be given.  It was true when your lovely boyfriend kissed you, you swam better, you practically didn't have to worry about anithing to win. And that was how both of your last races ended, with you in the first position.-
