Second Day of the Regionals 2/3 (Chapter 12)

*Normal POV*

The quarters of final for the individuals were about to start. You had all just arrived to the enclosure where the races will take part. You changed.

-Okay guys, go to the second pool and train, you know today's opponents are very strong. Then, you all know what to do and where to go.-Gou said.-

-Fine, then let's go.-Makoto said as he walked with all of the team to the second pool. You trained until you heard from the megaphones:

-Swimmers, please go to the principal pool, the races are about to start.

-Are you ready?-Makoto asked.-

-Yes!

You, Makoto and Haru walked to the pool, not before the others wished you luck. You arrived and Haru was first, he was going to swim in the 4th serie. He walked to his lane and started to swim. Rin was in the lane at his right. Both of them were very good swimmers and they were a lot faster than the others. But the two of them swam more or less at the same speed. Haru lost, but with a difference of 0.3 seconds.

-Well done Haru! Anyways you passed!-Gou, Nagisa and Rei shouted from the steps.-

-In the next race I will win, not only pass. This was only luck.-Haru said to Rin.-

-We'll see.-Rin only answered.-

The next one was Makoto. He was going to swim in the 2nd serie. He walked to his lane and entered the water. The ref gave the signal and he jumped. He mantained a good rythm, but it wasn't good enough to win that race. He arrived in a 3rd position. At least, he was classificated for the semifinals.

-Good job Makoto!-The team shouted.-

-Thank you guys!-He answered. Now Haru will swim again vs Rin. The race was very simillar to the last one between Rin and Haru, both of them were first leaving a big difference between them and the other swimmers. This time the winner was Haru, as he said.-

-Wow, their races are incredible.-You commented to Makoto, that was at your right side.-

-Yes, they are.-Makoto answered.-

-Now it's your turn, (Y/n). Give your best.-Haru said while he tapped on your shoulder.-

-I will!-You said and walked to your lane, you were going to swim in the first serie.-

Your race started. You were swimming in first position, but you soon got tired. You realized you wasted all your energies in the first part, and now everybody was taking advantage and passing you. You arrived in 4th place, almost 3rd.

-You did great (Y/n), you gave all!-Rei shouted you.-

-At least I have more races to win...-You said whispering to yourself.-

You walked to the place where Makoto was, Haru already went up with the rest of the team.

-Don't worry (Y/n), you'll win other races.-Makoto said you smiling.-

-Thank you Makoto.-You said.-

You and Makoto watched the male 100m backstroke swimmers while you waited for Makoto's turn.

-Okay, good luck Makoto!-You said him.-

-Thanks.-He answered. He was in the first serie, with Momo. The race started. Momo was worst than you all thought. Makoto easily arrived in 1st place, while Momo arrived 3rd.-

-Amazing, Makoto!-The team shouted.-

-Thanks guys!-Makoto shouted in response and smiled.-

-That was great, Makoto.-You said him when he arrived where you were.-

-Thank you, (Y/n)! Good luck, I'll go up.-He answered and left.-

The female 100m swam and finally it was your turn. All the team was suporting you. You entered the water and when the ref gave the signal, jumped. In this race you didn't comete the same error as before and you administrated your energies. This time, you won.

-Yeah, I did it!-You shouted-whispered to yourself.-

-That was amazing!-The team shouted you. You smiled.-

-Now it's my turn.-Nagisa said you, making you jump. You didn't see him arrive.-

-Yeah, good luck! Beat Nitori!-You said Nagisa.-

-Of course!-He said. He walked to his lane as soon as the first serie got out of the water. Nitori was in the lane at his left. The ref gave the signal and they started swimming.-

-Wow, Nitori is a good swimmer.-Rei commented.-

-Yeah, but he isn't good enough to beat Nagisa.-Gou said as she smiled.-

Effectively, Nagisa won Nitori, and Nitori arrived in second place.

-Next time I'll beat you, Nagisa-kun!-Nitori said Nagisa, once outside the water.-

-No, I'll beat you! Anyways, it was a good race.-Nagisa said.-

-Yes, it was. We'll race again!-Nitori said and went to the steps with his team, Nagisa did the same.-

-Good job, Nagisa!-You said him before he walked up.-

-Thank you. Good luck, (Y/n)-chan!-Nagisa answered, to walk up the steps.-

-My turn.-You whispered to yourself before walking to the lane. In this race you arrived in first place, your second speciallity was breaststroke. Your team cheered for you.-
