Beth was tired when she got home that evening. Her Dad picked her up at the Hospital in Harris. "How was work honey?" Mark asked. "Tiring I thought the day would never end." Beth said. She was glad to be home once more. She had three days of freedom which her and Naomi were going shopping in Harris for supplies. Her Mom was busy with gardening and getting other things done for Sunday which they would be having Fellowship that week. "Hi sweetie how was work?' Ruth said. "Tiring." Beth said. She grabbed a quick shower than got dressed in her new skirt and blouse. She looked lovelier than ever. "I invited Samuel over for supper." Jake said. "When is he coming?' Ruth asked. Sam pulled into the driveway and Jake went to greet Sam. They talked of a fishing trip they wanted to plan on going. "Hi Mr. Davis." Samuel said. "Hello Sam come on in and make yourself a home." Mark said. Sam and Jake sat down side by side. "Hello Sam." Beth said. Sam glanced up at Beth she looked gorgeous tonight and than he looked at his plate. Ruth and Mark exchanged looks knowing good and well that Sam was very interested in their daughter of late. "How was work?" Mark asked Sam. "It was good I am almost done with Beth's car." Sam said. "Thank you." Beth said. They all talked for an hour than Sam was cornered by Mark for a spell while Jake went to talk with Grandpa. Sam answered all of Mark's questions and he knew that Mark was onto him about his feelings with Beth. "Sir, do you think Beth would be interested in dating?" Sam said. "I would suppose right son. I am glad you came to me on this and I can give you my blessing and happy its you." Mark said. He shook Sam's hand and they went to join the others. Beth had cleared the table with Naomi and Sam pitched in when needed. Naomi watched how Sam looked at Beth know wonder he is here Naomi thought. She was thankful that the love bug had not hit her. She was aimed for Australia soon. "Why don't I help Jake with Grandpa." Naomi said. The other two didn't hear Naomi leave. Beth was wiping the counters when Sam took the rag from her. "Beth, would you mind if we started dating?" Sam said. Clearly speechless Beth whirled around and looked up at Sam's honest handsome face. "You mean to start seeing each other?" Beth asked. "Yes, that is what I mean." Sam said. He handed the rag back to Beth while they finished up cleaning. Beth went to her Dad and Mom about it and they were all for it. Beth made her way and sat down next to Sam. "I guess its an okay since my folks are happy with it. Are you happy with this Sam?" Beth said using his nick name. "I wouldn't be here unless I was serious Beth." Sam said. She liked it when he called her Beth it flowed from his mouth. They talked off and on for another hour it was time for Sam to get back home. He needed to work the next day and hopefully have her car done by the weekend. "I will see if I can bring your rig out Sunday.' Sam said. "That would be great." Beth said. Sam left after that and Beth watched again from the window. Jake came back into see how things were going. "So sister dear you have a boyfriend now?" Jake asked. "Yes, I do." Beth said. She went to bed and to sleep for tomorrow was another day.

Sam drove home and was tired out but pleased to be seeing Beth now. She looked happy as he pulled away. "Hi Son." Caleb said from his chair. "Hi Dad." Sam said. His Dad knew about his feelings for some time on Beth and now it was out in the open. Susan watched from her chair. "Well, son how did Beth feel about it?" Susan said. "She is doing well with it Mom. I think we are going to be just fine." Sam said. He went off to bed and Susan and Caleb prayed for their children who were growing up now. She was thankful Sunday was coming up fast.

Sunday came with a beautiful morning. Naomi and Beth were up early doing the chores for their parents. "I bet Mom and Dad will be happy to have some of the chores done." Beth said. "Yes, I am sure they will." Naomi said. They talked for another hour and Beth went to the shower and Naomi went to see her Grandpa who was doing well. "Hi Grandpa how are you doing?" Naomi asked. "Fine, didn't sleep to good." Gene said. "Well, you need to have Beth massage your tired muscles than." Naomi said. Gene smiled his granddaughters both had spunk. Beth came to check on him and massaged his knees and back and shoulders that were getting tired now. "Is that better?" Beth asked. "Yes, thank you." Gene said. Gene watched out the window when the Reed family pulled into the driveway. Sam was the first to get out. He opened the door for Heather and his Mom. "What a nice young man." Gene said to himself. He opened the door of his part while they came in. "Hello Gene how are you?" Susan said. "Fine." Gene said. From his tired eyes Susan knew he looked like he was in pain. She went to Ruth who gave Susan a hug. "How are you my friend?" Ruth said. "I am doing well. I can hardly believe Sam and Beth are now an item." Susan said. " I am not surprised really since they have known each other for 8 years now. I think Beth was what thirteen when we met?" Ruth said. They all piled into the living room and Mark shared on Faith. Beth and Sam tried to pay attention to it only they were both aware of the other. Once the meeting was over Beth, Naomi, Susan, Ruth, and Heather went to start getting the meal on. Caleb, Mark, Sam, Jason, Isaac, and Gene all talked until the meal was ready. Beth noticed Gene was getting tired and led him out to his part to eat. "I will get you some food." Beth said. Sam had noticed also that Gene was tired and went to sit with him for a time. Beth brought in their plates than hers to sit with Gene and eat their meal. It was a good meal Ruth and his Mom were fine cooks along with Naomi, Beth, and Heather. Sam noticed now how Beth took care of her Grandpa and that made her even more special to him.
