Rabbits have always-for as long as anyone could remember-been servants to Foxes and Wolves. They always have been the lower class while the foxes and wolves were incredibly wealthy; especially foxes. Rabbits were particularly scared of the foxes, whom always had the most wealth.

Arthur felt as if he was the most terrified of the foxes than anyone else of his species. He's always been terrorized by foxes, since he was born. When he turned fifteen years old, his parents practically threw him into a wealthy fox home. Arthur had thought he was going to die. He always saw the sharp teeth, the bright red fur of their ears and tails and their sharp, menacing eyes. Arthur avoided the fox family as he cleaned-unable to go into the kitchen because of his terrible cooking skill.

However, their oldest son always found ways to follow the freighted rabbit. Arthur never looked at the boys face, scared of what he could do if the servant did one thing wrong, but he tried keeping at a distance. The fox was ten years old when Arthur was forced to serve the family and much shorter than the older rabbit, but the floppy-eared man was still scared of him.

Two years passed before the fox actually spoke to him. "Why are you scared of me?"

Arthur had been so alarmed of the abrupt question. He looked up from cleaning out the fireplace and stared into his young master's curious blue eyes. "I-I... I don't understand..?"

The young fox sighed, carding his fingers through his wheaten-colored hair. "Since you got here, you've been avoiding me and my family. Why?"

"I'm..." Arthur didn't know how to respond. "I'm a rabbit," he muttered, looking down. "It's natural."

The master shook his head. "No, no. You're more scared than any of the other servants," he grumbled, kicking at the carpet and shoving his hands into his pockets. "Why are you so scared?"

Arthur gulped, wanting to curl up into himself. "I... When I was little... The foxes in my neighborhood would always beat me. I thought everyday this happened that I would die because their parents nor my parents so much as moved to stop them... They always told me that they would skin me and eat me. I always believed them."

The young master softened his expression as he knelt in front of the servant. "I won't let that happen." Arthur blinked and looked up at him. The fox smiled kindly, despite his naturally sharp teeth. "If those mean foxes ever come near you, I'll protect you, mkay? I won't let anyone hurt you anymore, 'Kay?" Arthur slowly nodded, his heart skipping a beat and his cheeks heating up. "And you can just call me Alfred. You don't have to call me master if we're alone. Only in front of other people." Again, Arthur nodded. Alfred grinned brightly and stood back up. "Great! I'll see ya around!"

After that, Arthur had sat for who-know-how-long before he realized what exactly had happened and became completely flustered.

The next three years flew by, the two becoming quite close. On Alfred's fifteenth birthday-Arthur being twenty- Alfred claimed himself finally taller than the rabbit. This upset Arthur, but he knew it would happen eventually. He just wasn't expecting the demand Alfred threw at him.

"Kiss me."

The rabbit jumped, dropping the feather duster as he whipped around to face his master. "Wh-what?"

Alfred's expression was serious as he stepped closer, a full inch taller than the rabbit and already had more muscle than the rabbit as well, making him appear more intimidating. "Kiss me. I'll say it again and again until you do it. I want you to kiss me."

The rabbit's floppy ears twitched as he looked away, uncertain. "I-I don't know... Alfred, we could get caught, and-!"

"I know," Alfred murmured. "I know what would happen, but I also know we're not going to get caught. I locked the doors." Arthur felt chills crawl up his spine as he forced himself to look into Alfred's baby blue eyes. "I want to be your first kiss, and I want you to be mine." The fox reached out, gently placing his hands on Arthur's slim waist. The rabbit jolted at the touch, leaning closer to Alfred. "No one will find out."
