Arthur sighed, slouching in his chair as he listened to other countries argue and bicker. Usually, he was part of that crowd, but... He was too worried.

America hadn't shown up to the past five meetings, and no one has seen him. Arthur would always call him right before the meeting. The first time it was, 'oh, I'm sorry... I just... I'm not feeling well, Arthur. I don't think I can make it this time.' Then the last four calls were the same. 'Sorry, busy, can't talk. See ya!' Then he'd just hang up without Arthur putting in a word.

The Brit sighed, closing his eyes and leaning back. He jumped as his phone began to vibrate. He shifted and pulled the phone out of his pocket. Arthur gulped and looked up after he read the caller ID.

"E-excuse me? Germany?"

The German looked up, confused. He was about ready to shout at the others when England called to him.

Arthur stood up and rushed over. "Alfred's boss is calling... Should I answer?"

Ludwig raised a brow and the countries close by started to settle down, curious as to what the two were talking about. "Go ahead. I'd like to know why America hasn't shown up."

Nodding, Arthur answered and pressed the speaker to his ear. "Hello? Mr. President, is something wrong?"

"Yes. Are you in the Meeting Room?"

"Yes, I am."

"Good. Turn on the television to Fox News. Quickly." Then he hung up.

Arthur blinked, puzzled, then did as told. As the screen flickered to the station, Arthur gasped.

Alfred smiled at the reporters and the audience. "Yes. I am the personification of The United States of America, and there are more just like me."

"That damn American!" Ivan slammed his hands down on the table and stood. "He's blowing our secret!"

Everyone quieted in the room and had their attention on the TV.

"I have lived since this land was discovered, and have experienced every war, every battle, every death this land has experienced and other lands experienced. I fought beside soldiers in World War One and Two, I stood in the front lines of the Revolutionary war, and I fought in my Civil War."

"Why did you wait so long to reveal yourself, Mr. America?"

Alfred chuckled, glancing down. "Because all the boss' of way back when, when George Washington was President, decided to keep us, personifications, a secret. They thought humans now-days would be frightened of us, hate us because we cannot die unless our nation, our culture, our beliefs, collapse, dissolve, vanish. In 9/11, I was close to death because of the toll it took on my country and my people. I wanted to reveal myself... And now I am. Now everyone knows the truth."

"Mr. America, did any of the other personifications know you are doing this?"

"No. And they won't know until it's too late."

"Too late? What does that mean, Mr. Jones?"

Alfred looked directly into the camera and smirked. "I can't miss another world meeting. I've already missed too many."

Something in his voice sent heavy shivers crawling down Arthur's spine, then he gasped and jumped as explosions started going off in different corners of the room and people started screaming in fear as Alfred casually turned and kicked out a window for him to escape. He then spun on his heal and made his way to the camera that was dropped. He picked it up and looked into the cracked lense. He grinned darkly. "I'll see you soon, Artie!~" Alfred gave a wink before Arthur snatched the remote and turned off the TV.
