"Really, you don't want him, sir."

"Why not?"

Arthur curled at the back of his cage, eyes closed tightly.

"He's not a good omega, sir. He can't cook, he fights back, won't do as told, and he's not... He's not attractive. He's small and messy, and his skin is too pale. The only thing he would be good for is breeding, but he won't allow anyone near him, even during his heat."

The Alpha sighed, opening the cage door. "I'll get him. I won't change my mind."

The seller hesitated. "O-okay... Alright. $300."

Arthur listened to the Alpha's deep chuckle. "Deal."

"You... Actually went and bought an omega? Alfred..."

Alfred sighed as he opened the cage to let the new omega out. "Matthew, if dad finds out that I didn't, he'll take you and your baby from me. I'm not mating with him. He'll just be a new household member to make dad think I bought a breeding omega for myself."

The omega sighed. "Alfred... Dad will find out eventually that you're not using him for that purpose. He has to smell like- oh! Oh, my goodness, Alfred, he's so dirty and unhealthy!"

"Exactly. He was in the worst condition out of all the omegas there. I had to get him out. Will you help him? I'm sure he won't be comfortable with me in there while he cleans." Matthew sighed and agreed before going to the cage. "I'll be in my office," Alfred stated before heading up the stairs. "His room is the one I prepared across from mine."

"Thanks, Al." The young omega sighed and reached in the cage. "Come on. Let's get you out and clean you up."

Arthur shook his head, backing up against the cage even more.

Matthew sighed. "Please? While you're in the shower, I'll make you some lunch. What do you like to eat?" Arthur stayed silent. "I promise that you'll feel better." Arthur sniffed, catching Matthew's sweet scent. He cautiously began to crawl towards the entrance on the cage. "You can open your eyes." Arthur shook his head. Matthew sighed, helping the small omega to his feet. "Let's get you cleaned."

Arthur looked at all the books on the shelf in his new room, touching each leather bound spine.

However, as soon as the doorknob twisted, Arthur closed his eyes, sitting on the edge of the bed. "Will you talk today? Or open your eyes?" Arthur shook his head as the Alpha neared him. Alfred sighed, sitting on the bed. In the two weeks that Arthur has lived here, he's allowed the Alpha the privilege of being near him. "Why won't you speak? Or open your eyes? Did something bad happen? Do you think your eyes or voice are ugly?" Arthur shook his head. "At least tell me your name?" The Omega still wouldn't answer. "Fine... You look a lot better. Healthier... I have to leave. If you need anything, get my brother. I'll be back tonight."

Arthur nodded and listened to him leave before opening his eyes. He sighed softly.

Later that day, Arthur stepped out of the room, feeling rather hungry. He rushed down the stairs and to the kitchen. Arthur immediately shut his eyes when he spotted Matthew cradling his baby and making her a bottle.

"Oh, are you hungry? I could make you something." Arthur shook his head. "I'm sorry about Mable. She has such a hard time staying asleep during the day." Arthur waved his hand and grabbed an apple. He bit into it and listened to Matthew whisper to his baby. Arthur tilted his head, then raised his hand and signed 'father'. "Oh," Matthew breathed deeply, having seen Arthur's sign language and understanding. "Her father... It's a long story..."
