it was the middle of the night as cosima laid on the floor of her living room, shifting around. mostly everyone decided to spend the night so they all grabbed blankets and crashed in the living room.

cosima had never found it easy to fall asleep so to stop from waking up one of her friends she went outside to sit in her backyard. it was lightly drizzling but she didn't care and just clutched onto the jacket sean has wrapped her in earlier. "hey," she heard and looked up to see sean. he walked over and took a seat beside her, "you're still up."

she nodded and stared up at the sky. "me and sleeping have never really been on good terms i guess," cosima chuckled. "i've had trouble sleeping all my life."

"it's because you think too much," sean giggled and looked to see cosima was serious, making him stop laughing. he shrugged, "or maybe it's just insomnia."

"whatever it is i wish it would go away. i'm tired," cosima said, laughing. she looked over to sean and furrowed her eyebrows. "how about you, lew? aren't you supposed to be like a real heavy sleeper or something?"

sean squinted his eyes, trying to come off as confused. "i guess i don't know why i'm up," he lied and bit his lip. the truth was the thought of the kiss that took place between them just a few hours earlier was eating at his mind.

cosima thought about it too but it wasn't what kept her up. they both wanted to talk about it but neither of them wanted to be the one to bring it up first. sean looked around up at the stars. "the sky looks nice tonight," he said.

"yeah, i always like looking at them," cosima smiled and sean looked at her. the moon lit up her face and he was close enough to the reflection of the sky twinkle in her eyes. cosima took a deep breath and continued, "i mean, isn't it just the most beautiful thing you've ever seen?"
