cosima furrowed her eyebrows at the phone but jumped up when she heard the knock at the door. she opened the door to see sean standing with kaycee. "surprise," kaycee said as cheerfully as she could, putting her arms out and quickly pushing past cosima to go inside.

"uhh... can i come in?" sean asked, running his hand through his hair. "i'd really like to meet your family."

cosima sighed and smiled, bringing her lips into a thin line. "you know my family," she said, leaning against the door frame.

"but it's been years since i've seen them," sean winked and came inside.

"okay then," cosima muttered and closed the door. she led sean over to her brothers. "this is michael and he's still my brother but don't be fooled. now he'll try to use a bunch of fancy words to convince you that he's cool but he's actually lame. he's always been," cosima received a fake smile from her brother which she returned, "and this is my brother mat, who is still my brother also. hey, if you wanna see something funny just wave your finger in his face he gets distracted easily. he always has."

"cosi, we've already met sean," michael said and looked over to the asian boy. "by the way, you owe me ten dollars."

"that's what i tried to tell him," cosima replied, folding her arms.

"wait, why do i owe you ten dollars?" sean asked confused.

"oh, well because cosi took ten dollars from me and told me to tell you that you owed me. isn't that right, cosi?" michael purposely asked.

"you said that?" sean asked cosima with a smile.

"sure, she talks about you all the time," mat says.

"mat," cosima said through gritted teeth and looked up at sean, who was now smiling at the girl in front of him. "i wouldn't say it's all the time. more like..."

cosima's brothers looked up from their homework to make kissy faces and mocking smooching sounds to mess with their sister. this made sean chuckle, knowing she mentioned the kiss. it made him happy.
