"are you almost done?" kaycee asked as cosima was making final touches on her make up. she had just finished her hair.

"yes, yes. calm down, stress doesn't wear makeup well," cosima said.

"it's so weird," kaycee said. "sean comes into your life and all of a sudden all of this hidden softness and girlishness comes out."

"oh, stop," cosima groaned. "it's always been just right underneath the surface. this isn't because of or for him."

"i think you should let the feminine show a little more," kaycee smiled. "it's so beautiful when you have that motherly kind of presence."

"kaycee you think anything i do is beautiful," cosima smiled.

"because you're my best friend," kaycee added.

cosima nodded, glided the brushed across kaycee's face and leaned back. "i'm done," she said. "let's get dressed now."

kaycee looked in the mirror as cosima grabbed the dresses. "wow," kaycee said, shocked by how good cosima did. she moved closer to the mirror. "wow."

"yes, you look good. yes, i can do makeup a lot better than we all think. yes, yes, yes," cosima said. "can we please get dressed, kaycee? i feel like we've been taking forever."

"honey, i'm home," the girls then heard julian downstairs, the sound of the front door closing followed.

"oh, cosimama, me too," lexee called out.

"you guys have to stop with that cosimama," cosima face palmed.

"it's cute," kaycee giggled and cosima shook her head.

after the girls finished getting dressed, they went downstairs. "cosi! kaycee! oh my god," lexee said. "gorgeous."

"yeah, but look at you," cosima said and spun her around. "you're beautiful."

"what about me?" julian asked.

"you're gorgeous," cosima chuckled and held his face.

"you're being really nice," julian said. "thanks cosimama."

"ew," cosima said, letting go of julian.

"there she goes," he said and hugged her. "you look stunning."

"i say we get going," josh spoke up and everyone agreed with him quickly. they were working on sean's cues.

the car stopped at the sunflower field and cosima looked confused. "it's just to give you little time. go sit, gaze," michael said as he opened the door for his little sister.

cosima got out the car. "what's all this for anyways?" cosima asked.

"you," michael said. "your life's changed a lot. this is for you. it's a lot to deal with and i know where you like to go when you have a lot to deal with. go."

"thank you," cosima dipped her head and headed for her usual spot.

michael got back in the car. "i let sean know she's on her way," kaycee smiled.

"it's not even for me and my heart is jumping in my chest," lexee said.

"let's just go. we have to stick to the plan," michael said and drove off.

cosima was confused as the figure of someone else drew itself out in the distance behind the flowers, but cosima could tell who it was from any distance. she'd always be able to. "hello," she said softly.
