cosima pulled out her key to open the front door. "of course i won't it's—" she stopped talking when she opened the door to see sean, sitting in her living room. "um..."

cosima's dad came into the room. "hey," he said to the two girls and sean got up, "is it steven or john."

"it's sean," sean said, confused.

"that's what i said," leo said.

then cosima's mom came. "okay we'll be leaving soon. michael and mat are out with their friends and they'll be staying out till you're done." kaia explained.

"i'll help you with your bags," sean offered and followed cosima's mom outside.

cosima turned to her dad. "why is he here?" she asked.

"he was telling your mother about how he really isn't interested in doing the dance fair thing," leo explained, "what did you do?"

"yeah, what did you do?" kaycee asked.

"he asked me to go and i said maybe next time," cosima said.

"you don't do things like that," leo said.

"yeah that's why i said what i did," cosima said.

"and it was wrong," kaycee jumped in.

"well if he keeps backing out of dances then soon enough he's gonna start acting whacky." her dad continued. "you have to talk to him. and do it before the days over."
