CHAPTER 21 (CLOSENESS AND FAILURE )

Samuel's pov

I woke up feeling refreshed and delighted.  Laura is shy from me. I need to make her comfortable around me,I'm her husband after all.

I got up from my bed and realised that lei was still asleep. She looked like and the early dawn sky that waits for the suns kiss. I went to the bathroom and got dressed applying my strong men perfume.

I went out and saw Laura combing her perfect ,black silky hair. She also has natural shadings of dark red. She is so breathtaking,but I'm not a monster that will scare her.

"Morning lei ." I greeted softly.

"Morning Sam." She whispered softly.

"So how is my lovie feeling compared to yesterday ." I asked as i hugged her.

"Hm much better. Now i have to go and help mom prepare breakfast." She said with a smile plastered across her face.

"Sure." I said letting her go out of my grip.

She headed downstairs with me following behind. My mom was in the kitchen. I sat with my dad at the table while mom and lei layed the table.

"So what are your plans for the future,my son?" My dad asked looking up from the newspaper that was resting in his hands.

"I'm not sure dad." I replied honestly.

My dad nodded in agreement. Then the smell of fresh bacon and omlet hit my nose. My mouth started watering. Lei came and sat next to me while mom joined dad.

My sister in law and brother are no where to be seen. Then i came up with the topic. "Mom,where is adil?" I asked.

"Oh,well he had an important project in UAE so he left the week you'll were getting married. He'll be back next month." My mom informed.

I nodded in agreement. My brother Adil is a ceo in USA . He got married 3 years ago but unfortunately they are unable to have any children. I feel sorry for him,but i guess it was in his destiny.

Now my dad depends on me for the family's first heir .

Laura's pov

After breakfast i washed my hands and headed to my room. I was so bored so i decided to check the news. It's good to know what's going on in the world out there.

I was busy typing on my laptop when Sam appeared. He placed his hands on my waist tightly and lifted me up. Our faces were about 2 inches away.

"Hm im busy Sam. Some other time." I said trying to move but his grip got tighter.

"Lei ,why do you always want to move away whenever i get close to you?" Sam asked.

"I'm shy Sam,understand that." I lied.

"Really? So let me try and make you comfortable around me as much as possible." Sam said.

"I remained silent. I loved being around him but i get too awkward in these situations.

Sam twirled my fingers in his and gently took my hair into a fist. "Oh no!" I shouted.

"What's your problem lei ?" Sam asked with great frustration.

"I forgot,today we have visitors coming from USA. Mom instructed me to make dinner today. It's already 5 pm." I replied.

"Fine yuan go,but next time no excuses will be accepted." Sam said trying his best to hide the anger in his tone .

I took a white dress which had navy blue diamonds. It was tight till my waist and then loose from the bottom. I looked revealed.

I opened my hair and tied only a few strands from the front. I applied matte lipstick and neutral eyeshadow.

The visitors arrived. Before we were going to head downstairs,Sam twirled my fingers in his and leaded me downstairs.

"You have a really beautiful daughter. You are so lucky!" A lady with blond hair and black lipstick said.

I was shaking. I didn't like being around people so much.

There was this boy,i guess in his early twenties staring at me like I'm some kind of ghost. I didn't like him. God,he doesn't even blink! How creepy.

I went to the kitchen and dinner was ready in no time. I made Turkish kebab,mint and parsley sauce,macaroni with pepper and meat balls,Indian rice,hot mutton,chicken curry and finally some dessert.

I setted the table and sat down. Soon we started eating.

That guy was still staring at me with every move i made. I got fed up and stood up,but Sam instructed me to sit and finish.

After dinner i washed the dishes when that guy came in. "Can i help babe ?" He asked.

I gave him a disgusted look and didn't reply. "Let's go out some time." He said pulling me closer.

"You are so gorgeous babe,I'm the one that's supposed to have you not Samuel." He said.

"Sam!" I shouted when his grip got tighter.

Sam's pov

I Laura's scream so I rushed to the kitchen. I was murderously angry with what i saw.

Jim was trying to make out with Laura. Now he will learn a lesson.

I pulled him and slapped him across his face. "What do you think you were doing?" I asked with a deadly tone.

I have a short temper but i can't lose it right now,there are our good guests except for this brat!

"Ok ok I'm sorry bro ,i was just getting to know my sis." He said.

I motioned him to move out,and so he did.

It was soon 10:00. I headed to my room and wore my night gown. I washed my face and headed out. Sam was reading a newspaper. I was really tired so I headed for my dreamy pillow.
